What has shocked me are the costs involved in moving crypto from exchange to wallet and back again, which one must obviously do at some point. I estimate costs of buying coins on the exchange, transfer to wallet, then back again come selling time, followed by exchange selling fees to be as high as 5% all considered. So you need to make this gain just to break even. Casey never seems to mention this in her vids……
Just wait until you convert your crypto to cash, or even *better* (worse) paying capital gains taxes... A 40% gain on your initial crypto investment can easy get dissolved in exchange fees, conversion (cash-out) fees and taxes. @jjann54321 what we need is a way to pay for stuff using crypto that doesn't require cash out. Like if I want to buy land or a house, etc. I would have to cash out some crypto to do so, assuming that is source of income or savings).
How does one verify ownership of a cold storage wallet (or an exchange wallet) for the purpose of proving reserves/collateral in conventional financing? Example: mortgage lender wants proof of $50k in reserves as proven by a bank or custodial statement with my name, account number, and transaction history with balances. I can show all of that except there's nothing with my name at the top proving it belongs to me....is there?
The step-by-step approach is super helpful for beginners. Since diving into crypto, I've been experimenting with a strategy that focuses on balancing risks and rewards, thanks to insights from a trader I follow. Excited to learn more and see where this takes me.
Hey, I'm in the same boat! Just starting out and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Mind sharing more about that professional trader's approach? Sounds like it could be a game-changer for newbies like us.
Greetings please I already know how to buy and bought a few but can't seem to make them grow I keep loosing my coin trading and I have lost so much so maybe a video on how to trade or any help at all thanks.....
I'm telling you, the crypto market is a mess. The economy is tanking, and our government is clueless. I'm starting to think crypto is just a bubble waiting to burst.
Whilst it's important to get your assets off exchanges asap. Isn't it worthwhile pointing out no beginner's the importance of network or gas fees. These can seriously affect how much you end up with finally in your wallet?
Your video serves as a calming beacon, particularly when financial markets are in tumult. Your analysis offers a prudent course of action, fitting seamlessly with the current stage of the economic cycle. Nonetheless, one cannot overlook the expanding mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies since 2019, as well as the fervent discourse surrounding prospective Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Might these elements sustain the market in this particular cycle? Speculation abounds that we are on the verge of a significant market upswing, making this a moment of great import for any discerning investor. My own portfolio, enriched by 38 bitcoins in a mere seven-week interval, serves as a compelling testament to Benny Craig financial wisdom.
It really helped trading with Benny Craig analysis and info, even with the market in a downward trend. Definitely riding the market wave is a good perspective.
Love your content all the time. This a good video for beginners like me. With that said you show how to buy and put on the card. If you want sell how do with that card?
Wow!!! This video showed me how little i know about crypto. That said, you also provide so many good resources to us noobs so that we can learn. Thank you for all this information.
I’m new in the Crypto world; by New I mean I’ve done nothing except some research. I loved this video; going to watch a second time taking notes and following all these steps. Hello fellow Texan.Which app do you use to buy crypto/ stocks. I’m new to it and I’ve only heard of Coinbase and Robinhood. Been asking around to see what they use. Most don’t respond or say Robinhood. Another person said Robinhood isn’t real crypto? So I’m so confused which app I should download and put money on
Signing up to an exchange is Harder than ever!!! KYC is a big issue, requiring id and a paper statement and if you have these you still have to wait up to a week plus for the exchange to let you start buying.....
Hey Casey. Great work, easy to follow. you didn't cover how to transfer BTC or Tether from exchange to exchange. I use local exchanges in Australia but I'm not clear on how to transfer Tether or BTC to exchange I want to buy newly listed coins like uniswap, kucoin, etc I tried to deposit fiat directly but many exchanges don't have this facility instead they have P2P that was even more complicated. Our local exchanges like swyftx and BTC markets allow direct fiat deposit and immediate withdrawal
I'm in Oz as well, gotta watch the fees. Use the cheapest supported network , ETH can be expensive look for cheapest always double check address and protocol and send a bit first to test
Thank you so much for all of your information, especially for those of us that are just starting down this path. Could you please do a video on purchasing pre-release all coins. There's so much information out there on potential investments of new coins, most of which you're in pre-release stage and aren't actually issued the coin at that time and all of them have rather confusing sign ups. Pandoshi as an example, as well as MELD. Thank you again for all you do!
Very helpful and clear advice, thank you Can I ask, I bought bitcoin long time ago with Armory wallet. Is now not longer supported How can I reinstall my bitcoin to a new wallet with a private keys? Thank you
I am just learning about crypto, not as in just hearing about it but developing interest. So if I say something stupid or ignorant it’s just because I don’t know much about it. What powers the value of crypto and bitcoin? How is it tangible?
Casey, love your stuff. Question... What do you think about buying crypto in a IRA on Robinhood? They hold the crypto for us. And we can't transfer it to a wallet.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
I really appreciate your efforts! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Casey, I do wonder how you obtained the 3d art on your wall? I have for years wanted to find something just like it but I failed miserably in my searches just trying to define "what" it was called.
Hello : I have a question. I'm learning about Crypto. Your talking of buy Bitcoin. Here's my question. Lets say you buy Bitcoin at $ 42,000. and it goes down to $ 32,000. Who do you owe ( or do you owe ) for the $ 10,000. Loss ??? If your down $ 10,000. Seems like your in debt for $ 10,000. . For instance. If I'm down $ 10,000. and decide to take the loss and sell. Who do I owe the $ 10,000. if I don't have that much in my account. This is hard for me to explain but hope your understand. Thanks in advance. Subscribed & Liked. :)
*Wow, it's crazy how some people can become multimillionaires by investing just $10K in trading within a few months, while others have to work for 40 years to reach $1M in retirement savings. The power of smart investing, right?*
It's crazy how people have learned to bot post in YT chats in hopes of capturing a "big fish" or maybe a school of gullible "little fish." Bro, where's your follow up pitch? The 5 bot accounts all endorsing your question/statement and the one bot that asks "how?" Nice pfp "Alana." LOL
Could you try explaining things one at a time rather than hitting me with 22 things (I counted them) before even completing the first thing you started with.
Yes but I can’t stop listening to her! You’re so fab tq @cryptocasey …I’m super newbie with zero investment experience 😞 I’m learning for the first time paying attention to you!
Question: If remove my crypto from an exchange and place it in a hard wallet, do I have to put it back on that same exchange to sell it, or can I put it on a different exchange to sell it?
Thank you! This is exactly the type of video I've been looking for. a step-by-step guide to go over everything quickly, then I can research specific topics.
There is so much to digest!!! i completly understand the tech part, the confusing part is were to make it tax free wiht the gains ...like finding the right Roth IRA and not speding much yearly since i wont be investing too much but i case things get better, if it does with this coming halving.
So the exchange is this case is the platform where you buy your crypto for this instance it was Coinbase? If had a $100 worth of Bitcoin I can move it offline?
Question - protonmail asks for either a phone number or email address as a part of 2-step verification. But in your video you recommended using google authenticator or authy. What would you recommend to do as a part of this process for setting up the email address? Thank you for all your info it's so helpful!!
Many thanks Casey for straight forward step by step how to, with a focus on securing your funds.. Will follow your recommended procedures entirely. Wrapping my head around, obviously though if you only have an amount to invest in a percentage of a "coin", one can still transfer the percentage gain to the hardware wallet, yes?. Believe saw you do.?. And all the exchange sites would be just as accessible on a Mac? All best there 👏😊🌷
So you're buying $50 worth of BTC on multiple different apps? Do they link together? Or do you just own smaller amounts in order to diversify? Why not spend ALL the money on one app?

*Wow, it's crazy how some people can become multimillionaires by investing just $10K in trading within a few months, while others have to work for 40 years to reach $1M in retirement savings. The power of smart investing, right?*
The thing about being successful is working towards it smartly and not just talking about it
It's crazy how people have learned to bot post in YT chats in hopes of capturing a "big fish" or maybe a school of gullible "little fish." Bro, where's your follow up pitch? The 5 bot accounts all endorsing your question/statement and the one bot that asks "how?" Nice pfp "Alana." LOL
I've seen this post all over the place, scam!!!!
Where could I do that?
How do you move BTC of Robinhood to cold storage?

Question: If remove my crypto from an exchange and place it in a hard wallet, do I have to put it back on that same exchange to sell it, or can I put it on a different exchange to sell it?
You can do both, but make sure you have migrated the server so as to ensure secure and safe movement.
Thank you! This is exactly the type of video I've been looking for. a step-by-step guide to go over everything quickly, then I can research specific topics.

Coin base doesn’t allow an account with them if you don’t have a utility bill?? I don’t have any bills in my name. Been buying from an ATM.
Awesome video, full of detailed, useful information.
