What has shocked me are the costs involved in moving crypto from exchange to wallet and back again, which one must obviously do at some point. I estimate costs of buying coins on the exchange, transfer to wallet, then back again come selling time, followed by exchange selling fees to be as high as 5% all considered. So you need to make this gain just to break even. Casey never seems to mention this in her vids……

Just wait until you convert your crypto to cash, or even *better* (worse) paying capital gains taxes... A 40% gain on your initial crypto investment can easy get dissolved in exchange fees, conversion (cash-out) fees and taxes. When the exchange of your choice asks for your SSN, be expecting a W-7 in the mail when you sell/cash-out. The government hasn't figured out how to regulate crypto, but they have mastered collecting taxes from gains in crypto.

Hey Casey. Great work, easy to follow. you didn't cover how to transfer BTC or Tether from exchange to exchange. I use local exchanges in Australia but I'm not clear on how to transfer Tether or BTC to exchange I want to buy newly listed coins like uniswap, kucoin, etc I tried to deposit fiat directly but many exchanges don't have this facility instead they have P2P that was even more complicated. Our local exchanges like swyftx and BTC markets allow direct fiat deposit and immediate withdrawal
I'm in Oz as well, gotta watch the fees. Use the cheapest supported network , ETH can be expensive look for cheapest always double check address and protocol and send a bit first to test

Signing up to an exchange is Harder than ever!!!
KYC is a big issue, requiring id and a paper statement and if you have these you still have to wait up to a week plus for the exchange to let you start buying.....
Question: If remove my crypto from an exchange and place it in a hard wallet, do I have to put it back on that same exchange to sell it, or can I put it on a different exchange to sell it?
You can do both, but make sure you have migrated the server so as to ensure secure and safe movement.
so once the bitcoin has been transfered does that go up in price as the market price increases or down...so if i buy bitcoin at when it was 20K..I TRANSFER IT AND WHILE IN MY SECURE WALLET IT GOES UP TO 25K OR AS OF TODAY ALMOST 50K..does that also carry the current price or is it locked in aat what i bought it for ? or does it only stay at a 100$ dollars and never goes up or down,,,im confused
Maybe you should review the whole idea of trading. There is no big difference to trading anything else like stock or gold. When you buy bitcoin for 20K, you buy right now 0,32 bitcoin. Now you own that amount of bitcoin, regardless if it's in the hardware wallet or wherever. The dollar price has no meaning to this anymore, it's an (digital) asset. When you want to sell your 0,32 bitcoin again in 2 years or so, you will get exactly the amount of money someone else pays for it at that time. May it then be more than 20k or less.
