    I LOVE the high-quality shave the OneBlade gives! This is a $350 razor. It is built like a tank and comes with a Lifetime Warranty. I found one on eBay for $99! I got lucky. The downside are the blade choices. There is only ONE blade choice: the Feather made exclusively for this. They only last 3-5 shaves, and they are pricey. BUT, you won’t find a better performing razor.

    • @brianm1967
      @brianm1967 6 лет назад

      Hi Sahib, thanks for your comments. With every safety razor I have used I have found it difficult to shave under my nose, lifting the tip of my nose with a finger helps, so too does angling the razor and shaving upwards and sideways. Even razors such as the splendid Timor which has a low-profile head cause me some difficulty. However, shaving under the nose with the Genesis and the Core razors by OneBlade are by far the easiest.
      Take care, Brian.

      Seems like that's where we get it from. I remember back when I was a little lad about 3 years old, watching my dad very carefully in case he would hurt himself. I had realised that razors could be dangerous and if I took my eyes off my dad for a second he might have a serious nick and that he might even die (oh no). So in my little mind I was his protector, if you like.

    Thanks for doing this brilliant video on the Genesis Brian. I've had mine for almost a year and recently I've just decided I have to give up shaving against and across the grain on the chin area and around my mouth because I always cut myself. I don't think I have particularly sensitive skin. Do you think I have poor technique or my skin simply just can't handle it? I'm still happy with the Genesis but have resigned myself to two with-the-grain passes.

    • @brianm1967
      @brianm1967 6 лет назад +1

      Sahib, thanks for getting in touch. The two OneBlade razors, the Genesis (as shown in the video) and the Core are both good for getting great results with zero post-shave irritation no matter what directions your bristles grow in. Consider the Core, it's so easy to use and the 'floating blade system' negates the possibility of cuts and nicks. The extremely sharp Feather blades with cope no problem with even the toughest of beard growth.

    Hey Brian, I’ve been thinking about switching to safety razors, and I want to know if you recommend the brand, Van Der Hagen?

    • @brianm1967

      Here are the safety razors we recommend for beginners: www.executive-shaving.co.uk/muhle-rhmuni-universal-shaving-brush-and-razor-stand
      You should consider the OneBlade Core: www.executive-shaving.co.uk/oneblade-core-single-edge-razor . The Core is a lot easier to use than a safety razor.
      Thanks for watching. Brian.

      Go look around on E-Bay. There are vintage razors that will allow a perfect shave and also allow the option to use any of the dozens of DE blades made today.
      A Gillette Tech, Super Speed, Schick Krona or even a Gillette Knack will give you an exceptional shave on a more sensible budget.
      You can investigate the myriad of blade choices to determine which works best for you ... and still have hundreds of dollars leftover for beer & dinners out. Or more vintage razors.

    What's better because you have used both the Feather safety razor or the one blade 🤔
    Especially for shaving the head 🙄

    I love the design, but the fact that they decided to use a proprietary design for the blade is such a deal breaker.

      Fair enough, I understand. If you are interested in single edge razors, take a look at our Claymore: www.executive-shaving.co.uk/the-claymore-single-edge-razor-at-executive-shaving/

      @@ExecutiveShaving So how would this particular razor's blades much up against the Mach 3 in terms of cost?

    • @ExecutiveShaving
      @ExecutiveShaving  5 лет назад +2

      @@PatrickHutton Mach 3 blade - typically £1.80 each and good for maybe 4 shaves (£0.45 per shave), Feather Spinless Single Edge Blade, £0.55 each and good for 2 shaves (£0.27 per shave). Shaving with this razor is not only good for your skin the blades are cheaper. Brian.
