I have CFS and sauna is strictly off limits, it saps my energy and I just crash. But what I noticed that really helps is quick hot/cold/hot/cold showers. Probably helps with lymph drainage.

I agree ☝️ Done the same to me made symptoms worsen

I have Fibromyalgia w/ CFS. My fibro pain comes mostly from my muscles tightening *profoundly* and my muscles getting cold any reason is a freaking pain emergency. I would eat dog poo if it would stop my pain . I will try anything but hot/cold would put me in the ER. Wish I could try that.

Most people with CFS have POTS and are very sensitive to temperature changes. Myself and other people I know would literally faint in a sauna 🧖🏼‍♀️ but for those that have mostly pain it might help

Good point. And absolutely agree with the sensitivity to temperature changes as part of Autonomic changes in CFS and POTS. I covered it in the longer video. Thanks for bringing this up. The study that looked at sauna was only 10 cases so very small and another with two cases.

Maybe if you're on the lighter end of the CFS spectrum

I've recently heard that ice baths help alleviate chronic fatigue. I haven't tried yet but I might.

Difficult to know. Anecdotal evidence present. But may not be for everyone

Do you mean of CFS ? Here is an article written where I go into more detail. We’ve also done two videos on CFS. Hope that helps. psychscenehub.com/psychinsights/chronic-fatigue-syndrome-myalgic-encephalomyelitis/

@@PsychiatrySimplified thanks for replying. I see the you are a consultant psychiatrist and you might have come across alot of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia ( i have both). I got these diseases after taking antidepressants (paroxetine , amitriptyline) for 10 months and anti anxiety medications for 5 months ( etizolam and chlrodiazepoxide). What's your take on this do you think antidepressants and anti anxiety could cause this ? Bcoz after taking these drugs i have not felt a single adrenaline rush since.
