Lovely selection! Personal favourite is probably Anemone nemorosa (non-US). I think the Buttercup there is Ranunculus hispidus/caricetorum - R. acris doesn't have the compound leaves and it usually flowers way off the ground.
Excellent question! It really depends on the species. The entire spring beauty plant will fade fast, whereas a wild ginger plant will stick around after its flower has died. However, its foliage will get larger, makes a great ornamental! Many of the flowers of these spring ephemerals will die quickly, but the rest of the plant will stick around for much longer

I've always loved violets, they grew all over my backyard when I was a kid! The white varieties are really striking.
