Bonus video! Usually I wouldn't put a video out today and I would save this update for Monday, but I had it ready to go and will have another video for Monday. I hope you are all doing well and NOT feeling blah!! Light and love and positive vibes to you! 💜😄
Hi Jenny I am brand new to your channel. Was scrolling a few days ago and I came across your posts. I am so very inspired by you. I’ve had an ileostomy for 4 1/2 years now… I had my first bowel surgery on Jan. 4, 2018. I woke up from surgery with a colostomy bag. It was emergency surgery as I had an almost complete bowel obstruction due to severe diverticulitis which caused an abscess and infection. My surgeon remove about 12 inches of my colon. Long story short, in total I’ve had 5 surgeries, my most recent 6 months ago with many complications. The surgeon had attempted reversal but due to scar tissue it made it difficult and I then went to ileostomy. I had a reversal with my colon reconnected. It only lasted approximately one year and I wound up with a stricture again and 2 more surgeries so I am now with a permanent ileostomy which truly has given me a better life. You so inspire me because your attitude is so positive and you are very spiritual which I love. I am also and I believe everything happens for a reason. That being said, since my most recent surgery which was actually done to repair a parastomal hernia which was very huge. I wasn’t going to have it repaired however I had to many blockages and was left no choice. I have just been very down since this surgery as I am very anxious since I had complications and I became quite fearful. You seem so strong in spite of all you’ve been through. You always see glass half full. I just wanted to reach out to you to tell you how I enjoy all your videos, you look great and I pray you continue to do well in your journey. I saw you do your bag change and you did so well!! I rambled on enough but I did want to let you know how much you help lift my spirits. Look forward to catching up on all your videos. 🩷🙏🩷
Aww, well thank you for letting me know! I appreciate that. Yeah, it's been quite a journey these last 2 years, but life is good. I'm sorry you've had to have so many surgeries. That's a difficult thing. I hope you've had your last one and will live a long happy uncomplicated life with the ileostomy. 💜🙏
Good job Jenny. The big C is a tough fight. Its hard to grow a garden when going through the CRC cancer "THINGS". Our garden took a back seat to my treatment and work towards a complete recovery for the last 2 years. We still had a bountiful harvest to share with the St. Lukes Cancer Center staff to show our thankfulness. This year my Peppers(hot and Bell), Tomatoes, Cukes , Squash of many varieties, and potatoes of many varieties are still doing well. We dropped of some bags of, fresh off the plant produce, twice this season and plan on 1 more drop next week. I have about 90-100 pounds of tomatoes prepped and frozen to can next week.(the easy peasy way). Keep it Blessed and there is Power in the Blood of Jesus.. Blessings from a kindred spirit CRC cancer survivor. Jenny, You Got This!!!...
That is so cool that you have grown so much you can share! I'm sure they really appreciate it. Good luck with your canning. That's one skill I want to learn some day. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! 💜
Hi Jenny, boy that little squirrel Really is brave and just goes about his merry way in your garden! The music you put to his shenanigans is priceless! He is determined....🤔 Sending you good vibes, and happiness. Here's to brighter days ahead. ✨️ Take care Jenny and God bless you!❤
Thank you, Pamela! Yeah, that squirrel was too funny. He was not fazed at all that I had tapped the glass and was watching him. 😆 Thanks for the good vibes. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 💜
Hi Jenny, sorry you are feeling blah, hope that turns around soon for you. We have something stealing our ripe tomatoes right off the vine! We had several ready to pick and go out there and they are gone! Not a trace, no leftover, just gone!! The ones we did get have been so delicious, I love a fresh tomato, I used to eat so many I would get sores in my mouth. I have had the blahs myself, haven’t been on social media for a bit. Found out that although my CT scan came back good for my lungs, my surgeon failed to tell me I have a nodule on my Thyroid, now I’m seeing a different surgeon on Wednesday to see how we deal with this, so I’ve been pretty bummed out about this, but as you say, put it out in the universe and pray for a positive outcome. Feel better Jenny and have a great week!
Oh no, Sandy! That's so discouraging that something is getting your red tomatoes! Hopefully they are enjoying them! My tomato was pretty good. We had it in our BLT's yesterday. Very soft and tasty. I picked the other one today so now I have to wait for it to finish ripening. I am so sorry that you have a nodule on your thyroid. Yeah, that will make you sad. I pray that it is nothing and you remain healthy! 💜🙏
Hi Jenny. Im new to your channel. When I had a large amount of what I thought were fruit flies, I looked further into it, and found that they were nats in my houseplants! I went on amazon and got butterfly shaped sticky traps that you put into the soil. Any nats in the soil go right to the trap. I havent had them flying around the house since. I see you have alot of plants, so maybe you can look into them
Welcome to my channel and our community! Thank you for the information! I actually had that happen once too - I thought they were fruit flies but found them in the plants. I bought the insect sticky paper and they worked wonderfully! These ones I have are actually fruit flies. Just because I had some sticky papers, though, I put one out to see if it would work. It did not! It's still a good experiment to see what works, though. Have a wonderful day! 💜
Some things just aren't meant to be. Don't get wrapped around the axle because there are those folks who know they are spreading dissent and they don't care. Just be glad it's over and let her be who she is. That blanket just didn't want her energy. So be it. I too have down days but I think it's just life making me slow down and take a nice long breath. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan
You made me laugh out loud, Morgan!! I love that "the blanket didn't want her energy"! And yeah, I keep reminding myself that none of these things need immediate attention. I will get to them as I get to them and that will be ok. I hope you are having a fabulous day! 💜
I feel for you. All the little things in life add up and then it hits you with the blahs. And you had a lot of little annoying things happen! It sure wasn’t your fault she wrote the address down wrong, but it would upset me too, the way she responded. I hope you’ll have a ‘4th time lucky’ in selling the blanket. 🤞🏻l hope you enjoyed seeing your cousin at the Market. Take care. 💜💜
Thank you! Yeah, it was a bunch of little things this week. Next week will be better. Today was good going to the craft fair. We saw lots of cute things. Have a fabulous weekend! 💜
Jenny, I don't think you need to apologize!! This lady seemed kinda of dismissive!! She clearly got lost and she didn't want to admit it!! Something good will come of the situation!!
Thank you, Pamela! True, she did not look up the correct address but I still feel bad. I guess the blanket was not meant for her. I did have someone message me a couple hours later that they were also interested in it but I have not heard back from her either. Ha, ha! It's ok. In time it will work out as it should. I hope you are having a wonderful day! 💜
Interesting thought. Although, as I just told my daughter the other day, I don't remember the last time I was bored. I have too many things to do to keep me occupied and wish I had more time in a day. I just had a bunch of little things annoy me this week and it's taking me awhile to get out of this funk. Today was good, we went to a craft fair and saw lots of cute things. And I started my weekend cooking, so that's good. I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! 💜
@@jenny_rice I’m glad that you’re doing fine. I’m doing well because my only child surprised me by coming home from college today. He’s 18 and I dropped him off a bit more than a month ago. This is the 2nd time I’ve seen him since he left. We’ve had a strained relationship this past year, but we had a heart to heart talk that’s the beginning of mending both of our wounds. I enjoy your content and I’ll continue to support you. Your strength and openness have helped me a lot this past year.
@@medinajaden1080 Aww, that is so sweet! I love that for you! I hope your relationship continues to grow stronger. It still had to be hard dropping him off to college. I am happy that my one daughter commutes and I still get to see her everyday. And thank you so much for your support. I appreciate it! 💜🙏
We all have those days. Hope next week is better. The craft fair sounds like fun!
So true! Next week will be better. The craft fair was fun. We saw lots of cute creations! Have a wonderful weekend! 💜
