  • We are out sea fishing and one thing i love about sea fishing in Ireland is the great catch you can have from the shore, Wrasse fishing is a growing species to catch in Ireland from the shore and boat, I give my honest review of the sgs2 savagegear fishing rod. This rod is a great rod for fishing off rocks. I went for a slightly shorter rod to help when fishing under your feet.
    This rod is amazing value for money and brings great quality rod to the budget side of the market.
    Enjoy guys we have some great things happening on the channel soon

    What size reel would recommend for the sgs2 at 9ft 7-35g,? I have a 9ft 20-50g rod, which I've coupled with a 4000 reel.
    Many thanks

    Mostly savage gear rods SG2 & SG4 here and price/quality ratio is solid. Shorter rod options i.e. < 6ft would be useful for wading small rivers and boat fishing.

      Yes I like the 7'3 ish size for that. Could never like 6ft rods. Just not for me. But that'd why there is such a variety to choose from as its down to personal choice.

    Hello Ryan
    I’m Alex and I’m from Ukraine , I’m fishermen too…
    I live in Strokestown
    If you are interested in what lures and how to catch pike and perch in Ukraine and what tackle we can go fishing together
    I don’t know anyone here who knows about spinning fishing, and I found your channel on RUclips

      Hi hope you are enjoying Ireland. I'm not near you unfortunately but if you go into the local fishing shop they should be able to help you on this.

    Anyone?? Is the savage gear rods in green colour (sg4 light game rod 75759), the exact same as Ron Thomson 'Shoot Out' Lure rods? They sure look the same, same range, same specs, just different stickers? Anyone?

    Ryan, what is the difference between SG2 5-18gr vs SGS2 4-16gr?

    • @freak.fishing
      @freak.fishing  6 месяцев назад +2

      Sgs2 is 9ft so more designed for casting light lures at a distance and jigging other sg2 is a good bit smaller is more for jigging sgs2 is made for salt water, different guides and handles and obviously they look different in terms of colour

      Thank you so much Ryan! So for Aegean Sea (Greece) you recon gettin the sgs2 from what I understand. Salt water (a factor to be). I do tend to use light lures and jigging ones. I do have the SGS2 in 30-100 and 60-150 for shore jigging with a SGS8 6000 & 10000 .@@freak.fishing
