Honestly, this is a very underrated channel. The complex concepts about almost everything are explained very easily by him.
I've been using Samsung phones with AMOLED screens since 2019.
Recently, I turned on and old phone (Asus Zenfone 3), which I bought in 2017, just for fun, and it has an IPS screen. I was amazed at how good the screen looked, compared to the AMOLED screens.
The IPS and AMOLED screens all have 400 ppi pixel density. Somehow, the IPS screen just looks sharper.

Do a test between midrange amoled vs premium amoled.And a test between fixed amoled and flexible amoled.The results be very different
I agree IPS is underrated, I know amoled has poppy colors, high brightness with AoD. But if the other specs are amazing, I guess ips would be acceptable, for example poco X3 pro.

Got iqoo z3 for 15.5k which has ips display . I wanted to buy amoled phone but still went with ips as it was offering strong processor and good specs .
And i am just lovin it. ♥️♥️

IPS LCD is better for outdoor use
Amoled are better use for outdoor because it high brightness

You should have talked about screen burn in issues in amoled displays.
Those who love dark mode and AOD would definitely prefer AMOLED over IPS.

Good .....right n short explanation..,.Amoled battery drain jaada kaarta hai back light meh 30 /40 led nahi pura ka pura display tri colour led se bhara hota hai .......amoled dhup meh bhi accha preform kaarta hai ........mere paas ek IPS display wala phone hota tha bhai kya clarity thi uski ...zaabardast 2014 only 5.1/3 size but pixel density n back lit led strip se kaamal ki clarity thi iphone 6 jaise voh bhi taab
I'm actually amazed that now people started acknowledging AMOLED tech. But I remember days when People didn't wanted to acknowledge AMOLED (I'm talking about 2010 2011 time) that time only big companies like Nokia and Samsung used to give OLED panels and other companies gave LCD even though they were Flagships of their segment like HTC, SONY, APPLE etc.
But now people have heavy misconception that IPS displays are bad if compared to OLED. Trust me My phone has LCD but I have a circle of friends who whenever see my phone's display they get confused and say I think your phone has AMOLED display because it looks so good in terms of colors as well blacks.
Now don't lecture me About IPS and AMOLED panels capacity to show black.
And always remember No Chinese phone have better AMOLED optimization than Samsung. Manufacturer know how to tune the overall Colour, gamma. I personally have seen 50k Chinese phones like OnePlus 7 Pro's display doesn't even look like S20 Fe 5G's Display. Samsung has some magic. A magic which no other company can give. (Oversaturation :p)

Samsung's LCD panel is better than redmin10 series amoled. Samsung's optimization is appreciable and they actually deserve the spot they hold in the display world.
@@asmityadav4216 I agree Xiaomi's screen is not that good as compared to samsung, most of the mobile manufacturers use Samsung's amoled screen redmi note 10 series didn't use Samsung's screen. But Xiaomi's lcd is really good I'm using note 9 it's really great

I have used many phones with best IPS displays, but picture quality in Amoled is unparalleled. Clearly NO compitition whatsoever. I am currently using Samsung F62.

IPS is better for eyes because it's PWM frequency is high opposed to Amoled .

Amoled screens are the best for your phone and also your eyes. And, who on earth mentioned IPS screens have high PWM and Amoled screens don't? Do you even understand the the concept of video mode vs command mode panel?

@@viltoncarvalho amoled sucks in dark room(speacially for eyes)....i have noticed when i use my amoled in complete dark for more than 10 min then i start seeing the flickers....and dc dimming just minimizes it....atleast for me the amoled in dark hurts specially in dark mode youtube.

I'm currently using realme X7 max which comes with amoled display.
I have seen that amoled is good at dark in colours but when is comes to white I this its look like dimm compared to ips display.can you have a word about it. Because may be it software fault in amoled or quality of display/panel. Sir your thoughts on it please. 😊
Actually aap google karenge to pata chalega ki IPS zyada better white color show lar sakta hai but yes ye sab display ki quality to quality par bhi thoda change mil saktA hai

Biggest drawback of amoled is flikering, that's why you should always purchase IPS laptop instead of amoled because you work a lot on laptop and your eyes should not strain early because of flikering......

But hamesha ke liye AOD me overall to drain hi hoga battery
Ips can't produce colour if there is no light and ips gets its light from backlight.
So, do whatever you want even if you want to display a " . " On ips display whole display is gonna be lit.
So, the battery usage will about to be the same and always more then Amoled.
@@GyanTherapy yes bhai, I agree with you, but turning on color tiles alone in ips will consume less power, but it will be so dim, like when the screen gets off after 15 seconds, first the screen backlight gets off.

@@shaikhdaud7339 you are telling reverse, budget amoled has extra strain to eyes because of screen blinking problem (pulse width modulation)... But good quality IPS at budget will not have any problem (unless you watch in room with lights off, then good amoled is better compared to good IPS)
@JACOB F no bro..bekar only comparing brightness..but indoor Colors almost look same in budget phones..I have both f62 Samsung and Moto g60 both have almost no difference indoors

Ips has its own uses and amoled has its own uses both are good in their own positions.

I just love ips panel. I had redmi note 5 pro. That phone had quite nice ips not the best but still nice. Then I bought lg 4k tv. That also had ips panel but that ips panel was flagship that was also really good. Except deep dark black there is no problem in ips. You can keep them on as long as you want static picture whatever ips is amazing. But then I bought mi 11x to be honest at first I just didn't like the display I kind of missed true colours because amoled just produce vibrant colours which I don't prefer but after changing the colour gamut to P3 now it's as good as mine tv. But considering not all phone supports P3 colour gamut some people will have problem using amoled if they are used to ips. But eventually they will also get used to it.
I am not using always on display because there are burn in issues in amoled screen so I recommend keeping that off.
Yes... Amoled just gives stress as we always need to think of what kind of static picture is staying for longer periods.. But except of deep blacks, IPS is very good
