Over the last few weeks we have had some comments about how we spend six months in Europe considering there is a 90 day Schengen visa limit of UK.
In this vlog Steve explains how we do that and takes a little behind the scenes look at the interior boat paining we are doing before we go to Sweden.
Are you thinking about living in a Motorhome or tiny house on wheels, touring around Europe? Want to know what it takes to live full time in an RV living a Nomadic Lifestyle and how to earn money while travelling?
In 2016 The Happy Travellers sold up everything they owned and decided to live their lives in a Motorhome with their Maltese terrier Pippin and we started Vlogging on 1st June 2016. Scroll down for a list of kit we use in our Motorhome Life.
If you're interested in living a minimalistic life, come along with us as we clear out all the clutter and get organised!
Kit we use in our daily lives:

Thanks for the comment. It's still a bit of a stress keeping an eye on the 90 limit. The online calculator is a great help :)

nice one guys. looking forward to seeing you in Brighton at xmas again .
Steve, maybe in next blog you could use a map to show intended (i know they change, but intended at moment) route and stopping places of your trips to Spain and also Sweden.?

Great idea Stuart. We used to use What Three Words which was a good way to show the exact location for the place we stayed. I'll try to do that again on our future trips starting with Sweden later this month. :)
Yes, Late December in Brighton will be the thing. We're currently planning on a 25th December Chanel tunnel booking so would probably leave Brighton on 23rd, stay over at Folkstone and get the train to Calais on 25th.

    Phew 😥
    That was exhausting!
The UK really did sacrifice a lot by giving up *freedom of movement* when the majority voted Brexit.
So three months in Schengen zone, three months back in the UK, then another three months in the Schengen zone again - got it 😊 (thats six months in the calendar year)

We full time in our motorhome. We can stay for as long as we abide by the rules of the Country we are in . We travel on my Irish passport which covers my wife. France for as long as we want, Spain after 3 months we need a visa.

Now that the UK is not in the EU we are subject to the Schengen Zone visa requirements 😔

@@TheHappyTravellers I know , but if anyone has a parent or grandparent that was Irish it's easy to get the Irish passport. Thus not having to worry about counting your days. Most people know about the 90 day rule.

At least it's 90 days, any less and it's not worth driving all that way to Spain, then having to come back soon after arriving. The more time you spend in the EU countries, the more money is likely to be spent by Brits, but I think it was a bit of spite by the EU to restrict us. 🙄😕😀😀😀

    • @TheHappyTravellers

Yes the 90 day limit after Brexit was a 'punishment" by the EU. Oh well, we make the best of it :)
