speed reads 8% high. so really its aprox 229km/ hour. like someone else worked out before. that is really good for such a mildly tuned bike. don't keep it up there for too long though. it will fry the cylinder walls and rings. its real power is down where you need it at 3000-6000 rpm. i have had several faster bikes but this is the best all rounder. change the front tire to one with a single compound or the side treads will wear flat causing a dangerous spike in the centre.
@andrestolz1 man muss ja auch bedenken dass die eine ne rennsemmel und die andere ein sportourer ist, der ein bisschen mehr wiegt und auch weniger ps hat alsi die GSX:D
I guess this is with stock muffler. Engine starts to choke after 7000rpm. At least mine does. Hardly never rev over 7000 since bike starts loose power. I always shift before 7500 and bike accelerates fastere. Maybe change stock muffler this summer to somethink that actually breaths.
819sebas It's not like my bike stops accelarating but you can definitely feel how stock muffler restrict acceleration on high revs and redusec power. mmm i can go 234 km/h with my sv 650s, the bike all people who doesn't rode it said it's a slow bike. I pwn a hypermotard 1100s a drag races from 0 to max speed, and an fazer fz6n ( glory to the fairing and weigh ) just love my little twin engine. I have to test this gsx1250 , it's like a very good torqy bike and smooth engine

maybe you have trouble with your bike because this bike and top power at 8800 rpm...
