Best bike ever! I have mine for 13 years and it is so much fun to ride. I haven't found a better one yet so I will keep on riding this one for many more years.
Thanks for the comment, it really helps the channel. I found the same, there were only a handful of videos about this model on RUclips, which is a shame. There is more to come in the near future
Hi. Had a GSF1250 bandit from new for 4 years, really loved it. Had a new bike 'itch' and bought a V strom 1000. That was OK...but I missed that 1250 lump soooo much. Then I came across a 3 year old GSX with 900 miles on the clock.. pristine. 6 years later still in love. Yes, it is a heavy bike and yes more powerful stuff, but that torque from low RPMs make it so special and easy to ride. And if ridden sensibly very economical. Any need to take it over 4K revs ! I am not a track day merchant. Agree almost a forgotten bike, but still very respected
I have had mine for 6 years. Still love it, that torque puts a stupid smile on my face every time. I do most of the work on my bike, but I chicken out with the plugs, valve shims and air filter, get a mechanic to do it. I have only had to do consumables to do, except the clutch starter switch failed, so had to replace it, used a short circuit till I had the part.
The background music, while thematic with the excellently lit background, has the unfortunate impact of increasing the effective signal to noise ratio for your voice. I have to change the volume loud on a phone to make out the commentary. But the content is precisely what a prospective used purchaser needs, and pretty concise too. Good content.
In the Twisties it's not so great as you have to put a lot of effort into getting around the bends, however if you get into the right gear then the torque will carry you through. Glad you like the vid, thanks for your support
Hello! Fellow FA owner here. I have had mine since I bought it new in 2011and it's been an amazing machine. The bike has 70,000+ miles on the clock now and it shows no signs of slowing down. What I love the most, though is that in all these years she has never left me on the side of the road. I have had done many of the mods that you have done, mainly the suspension and brakes. Front forks have been redone and I had a custom made Holeshot/Cogent Dynamics shock built to my specifications and then had the suspension set up and tuned for me. The brakes got new rotors, pads, braided lines, master and levers. Yoshi R-77 can and fueler was added, and the secondary butterflies were removed on my bike as well. These things completely transformed the bike. It's still a hoot to ride (I rode it into work 49 miles one way just this morning) and when I walk away after dismounting, I still look back at the bike and smile because she's still a looker! Thanks for this video, it was fun sharing my experience with other riders. Cheers!
Hi there, replying from my other channel, couldn't agree more, these are great under rated bikes. The engine is a big old unrefined beast that needs zero maintenance. Like you say, reliable. The trick to keeping these reliable is to ride em and service em frequently, rather than leave it and not ride it.
Great review… I passed my test last April and had a 600 fazer for about a month but then I saw a one owner gsx 1250 with 11k on it in pristine condition and paid just shy of 5k and I absolutely love it the power and how comfy this is… now mine is black just like yours but I really want those decals on it did you fit these yourself? Thanks.
Glad you like the review, the decals are dealer fitted and were an optional extra, they should still be available though and would be in the scope of a competent person to install. Happy riding and thank you for your support
I have the same bike as you mine's a 2011 I just bought it and have you ever seen anybody put sport bike handlebars on our type of bike?? I have scoured the internet and RUclips and I've never seen anybody do a sport bike handlebar type conversion on our type of bike,
Great choice, I don't think everyone saw a clip on conversion, I did contemplate it because I did it with a 600 bandit some years ago as a cafe racer, I do remember it was really uncomfortable and the geometry was slightly off due to the length of the bike. If I was going to do this then I would put a gsxr front end on it.

I love when a new gsx1250fa review comes along! Just not enough of them on youtube 👌

I completely agree about that. :)

I wish I never sold mine. I commuted on this bike, and rode it around Australia . Absolute bullet proof beast. Loved it.
I have the same feelings. I regret selling mine...

Just don't now how it's riding this beast in twisties and which progresive springs you mount. Great video. Thanks👏👏👏

Thank you keep up the good work 👍
I left my GSX1250FA in a garage for 5 months, totally neglected. Started first time. I didn't deserve it to start but it did. Unbelievable.
I know exactly what you mean.

Stop smoking and stop pointing 😂
