@@charleshoward1475 6 is overdrive...it wont fly as much i ride the older air cooled 1200 i only have 5 gears there, i use 4 for this kind of blasting cos the 5th is overdrive for me
@@fidelcatsro6948 Thanks. I've not ridden a machine in Years. Its been something of a learning curve again. I do find myself trying to engage a non existent 7th gear would you believe. I'm used to low revving diesel power. Mind you we've got some brave sized hills in this County, once you've got 3000 rpm showing, the engine quickly accelerates even with a tiny twist of the throttle. I'm confident I could take it to the red line in top. I only weigh 10st 10 which probably helps.

I wasnalways looking for that 6th gear on my 2006 bandit. Now I have a 2009 with a 6th gear,I'm bloody well gonna use it even if it feels like I do t need it. Such a different ride compared to the 2006

@@hanselperez7404 It feels slower but it really isn't that much slower( geared differently). I mean, it's plenty enough on the road, and you never really use all the power, not even two up.

Don't know which country this is but the most frustrating thing in this video is the lack of lane discipline. Right lane for cruising, left lame for overtaking.

Po weryfikacji w serwisie okazało się że poprzedni właściciel już wykonał modyfikację - - > dlatego taka moc. Po 6 latach jazdy i 40 kkm wciąż wystarczająco :)

Fuel economy in a higher gear is better, as long as you are not lugging the engine due to it not maintaining idle at load.

I own a US spec 2016 model. Maxes out at an actual 146 mph. Stock except Scorpion slip-on. Great all around bike.

i had the gsx1250, basically the same bike. Incredible torque.. I do prefer my AfricaTwin though, much more comfortable.

It is not a comfortable (seat) bike to ride, but it is so smooth and powerfull. Ride the tiger.

Allowing for speedo error, that's about 140-145mph in real life. Which sounds about right.
