More so, the way I see it, a female friend who isn’t able to recognise that you are the girlfriend and doesn’t want to “move” out the “passenger seat” is trying to assert dominance to show you that she’s not going anywhere. She may not even be interested in him romantically, she’s just making her presence known. Something I always say is as a girlfriend make sure you are secure within yourself, know that your situation is situated and that energy alone should show the female friend, “Look I get you’ve always been around and that’s fine, I’m not here to ruin that, but understand my relationship with your friend is different and I fill a space that you don’t, so if none of us steps on each other’s toes, all is well” It’s also your partner job to let his friend know that, “ this is my lady, she’s here with me day in and day out, so the “passenger seat” is reserved for her” So to me, I’m not bothered by the physical action of being the front seat of the car, because I know who I am and what I’m here for and next time if my man knows what’s up, it won’t happen again.

But if I’m dating a guy I would rather he not be friends with my friends. Don’t follow them on social media, don’t like their pictures, just don’t. That shit is weird
