I knew they looked familiar. This was the first live gecko I saw in it's natural habitat aka my garden. I heard the loud call of a tuko (it's what we call them here in the Philippines) and it was near so I thought I'd try to see if I could find it. And find it I did. It's head was so big and it gave out this fierce stare with it's mouth open. I never thought they'd be that big a size because all the live lizards I've seen at home are the Common House Geckos (butiki) and the Common Sun Skink (bubuli) so the size kind of blew me away. When I was a kid I asked what was making the loud "TOK-KO" sound and my grandmother told me about this big lizard called tuko with big eyes and feet that's so sticky that if you ever had one latch on to you, the only way to get them to let go is with the glare of a genuine diamond because the shine would hurt their eyes and make them run away. 😄
Love Gekko Gekko’s one of the best looking Gecko’s there is, they are so underrated IMO. Awesome Reptiliatus.

I just got a Female Tokay Gecko Her name is Luna it took me 5 days to tame her now she will climb on my hand when i reward her with treats

But be carefull and allways wear thick gloves when handeling them because there bitey as heck, you just have to look at all the thumbnails especialy brian bazryk's one.

I used to live in Cambodia and I heard the tokay mating call... I would love to own one to remind me of the good time falling asleep to their sounds. I caught one but he wasn't eating so I released him back.

I love the size of these geckos, and that feeding response is great. :) I'd like to have a bioactive enclosure with a Tokay and be able to hand tame. I'm a night owl myself, so having something nocturnal would be interesting.
Would you recommend starting with a younger gecko to help get them used to you?

We have a dozen of tokays, inside our house. They eat mosquitoes and flies for us. Not our pets. Lol

I got my enclosure set up for my Tokay gecko it’s kinda big it’s a 36x18x36 but my question is if I put a male and female together would they fight? I wanted to get two since the enclosure is kinda big but if they might fight I was just going to get one male

Steve Chapman focus on rehydrating them. Don’t worry too much about trying to get them to eat first. Make sure you have a very large enclosure. These guys needs loads of room. Best of luck!
Thanks for the tips that was one of my big concerns of the then not eating right away and they're not I don't think they have ate yet.
