Your instructions were very helpful for a not experienced DYI person trying to use a power drill, which has been very frustrating for me. I'll try again. Thank you!
Thanks for your excellent video. I am a retired general contractor, and purchased one of these for my wife, who is a professional artist, and uses it for framing her work. The manual that came with the drill, as well as what was available online from Ryobi was really quite awful. Thanks again, your video will save me a lot of time showing her how to operate this new drill.
If you are retired general contractor and you do not know how to use a basic drill and just because this is Ryobi. brand…. A drill is a drill no matter what brand you are buying…. and if you are, I retired general contractor and you need a video to learn how to use a drill again I would be looking for a new general contractor and losing your number because if you are the general contractor on the job site and need a video on using a cordless drill, you sir, are in the wrong line of work
I was going to say the same thing, but you saved me the time. This video gave me the information. I wish the manual had, plus some bonus tips. Thank you!
Thank you so much for doing this! Being a female, I have always depending on my brother for drilling for me because I’ve always been intimidated by the drill. I needed to set up a new desk I bought and it said I needed a drill. My brother left a drill at my place for when I finally try it out and I did it! Wasn’t that bad after watching your video! I rarely do reviews too so thank you!
Thank you so much for the lesson. I'm 65 years old. This is the first drill I've ever purchased. I couldn't figure out how to put the bit in. So I pulled out the instructions, and it tells me the first step is to lock the trigger. Does it tell me how to lock the trigger? Nope. So, I go to Google to find a video to find out what to do. You don't even talk about locking the trigger, but you showed me how to tighten that thing down on the bit, and that's what I needed! Thank you!
OMG!!! Thank you this was so useful. I watched several videos just to figure out how to fit the something in to chuck and none were useful. Saving this for later 😁
So for occasional (like once or twice a year) use to drill holes and/or screw things together, this is the only tool I would need? Still confused when these are sold as sets with impact drivers.
Can you use craftsman drill bits for Roy I drill and also what attachment of bit head would I use if I only need to drill a nail to hold a bracket for my kitchen blinds I do know should I use hex head or what drill bit for this task please help thank you
I have a problem with the drills falling out. It happens especially when I am using the Kreg drill for pocket holes. I am getting arthritis in my hands which doesn’t help. But I learned a few things thank you!😊
On my Ryobi the green lights (4 bars) light up on the base, so battery seems charged. But a white light comes on at bottom of drill when I press the trigger and nothing revolves. What is happening?
I recently bought this drill. My only complaint is that when I stop drilling or screwing, it spits out the drill or driver. Now I am searching for a bit in whatever is underfoot or under my ladder. Sometimes I don’t find it. This is a real PITA, and I have tried adjusting the chuck settings to no avail!
I can't figure out why i'm unable to drill screws, the bit just spins , and I make sure its the right bit size, because i'm able to drive it manually. Can anyone help???
I got this drill driver as part of the ryobi home kit. Ryobi is a Chinese company but they’re coming up with great modern DIY products where companies like Bosch are outdated. My only complaint is they should work on better video tutorials for their products and also I wish this drill had a slow mode for when using the screw driver
They need to do a better job designing these tools for people with small hands. My hand isn’t big enough to press both sides to pull battery off. I have to awkwardly hold it and use both hands.
The drill is bigger, has the adjustable speeds, and the adjustable tooth chuck on the front end that adjust by spinning it. The driver is generally more compact and only accepts the hex shaped bit shanks.
the drone on of ADs on all these videos is having a negative impact. Why buy a product you are sick of seeing over and over and over again and again..Ever hear of the reverse impact of ADS?
I clicked on this video not to see how to use a drill.. I clicked on this video because I was bored saw this video, wondering what you had to say that it is very funny 98% of people that are buying drills already know how to use a drill…
Thanks, the included instruction manual with the drill was pretty much useless. This has helped a lot.👍
Thank you for a slow but write to the point video . Single Mom who paid a carpenter who never finished the job was able to finish because if you.
Thanks man, i searched ryobi could not find anything where they showed you the basics like this
Your instructions were very helpful for a not experienced DYI person trying to use a power drill, which has been very frustrating for me. I'll try again. Thank you!
I am 58 this is the first time I learned how to work a drill ! Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for this! It’s crazy there are absolutely not one instruction for how to operate the drill.

@@timnash6870 you have no reading comprehension. He said the video was for his wife so he didn't have to show her
@@timnash6870 yeah u clearly didn't read or comprehend what he said. Just eager to criticize. Keyboard warrior

Very informative video. Good job.

Thanks for this tutorial !!!
Great video! Super helpful. Thanks!
What about video on metal drilling and fastening thankyou
Sir, when screwing my drill activates hammer action, how do I stop hammer function. Thank you RB
There are shorter bits for the screw/driver part. How do you insert those?
You can buy extenders that you insert into the chuck and then put the smaller bit into the other end of the extender
Thanks I needed help with this because no guy could help me sad 😭
This is amazing! Thank you.
On my Ryobi the green lights (4 bars) light up on the base, so battery seems charged. But a white light comes on at bottom of drill when I press the trigger and nothing revolves. What is happening?
what was the red contraption on the drill bit?
How do you unlock the chuck? I can’t take the piece out
Excellent Video.
Great video
Thanks that was so helpful 😊

YOU JUST SAVED ME FROM CHUCKING MINE BACK TO THE STORE. pun intended
Did bro just use an ironing board as a workbench? Neat
Thank you!! Well done!😊😊💜💜
I can't figure out why i'm unable to drill screws, the bit just spins , and I make sure its the right bit size, because i'm able to drive it manually. Can anyone help???

Just bought one yesterday and the chuck only spins closed, won't turn to the R! HELP...or did I buy a broken drill?
I thought the same thing until watching this. I had to force turn mine and the chuck finally came out.
Thank you!
My Ryobi didn't come with drill bits? So, each bit has to be bought separately???
Hi. You can actually purchase a kit that includes different types of bits in it from Home Depot.
Awesome 🤩 ty
Thank you!!
How to open head driil that one
Thank u!!!!
Thank you....
Strange that parents no longer teach their children anything. We have to come to RUclips to figure out how to use a drill.
how do you tell which Ryobi is the drill and which one is the driver? Why don't they label them?!
The drill is bigger, has the adjustable speeds, and the adjustable tooth chuck on the front end that adjust by spinning it. The driver is generally more compact and only accepts the hex shaped bit shanks.
Omg thank you
Thanks so much!!!
Just bought my first drill and was clueless how to use it safely.
