Stagecoach Highland on board bus announcements

Onboard announcements on Stagecoach Highland routes 25A, 27, 28 and X99. These announcements have recently been installed on Stagecoach Highland buses. They are far from perfect but that is a subject for another video. Audio recorded May 2024

Huh, I didn't know the X99 had those unique announcements, neat!
I've noticed travelling on the 26 into Inverness a recording slip-up on the service termination - "This is Inverness bus station where this ter- this service terminatesthankyoufortravellingwithstagecoach". Is it the same on all services?

Yes it is haha, you'd think they'd have recorded it properly before put it out there

@@TheJamster2006 Aye those announcements were a rushed job for definite! Then again, imagine the alternative of a text-to-speech program pronouncing all the villages and road names up here... 😆

@@TheJamster2006 That happened in Grimsby with TTS, but this was eventually replaced with the better Peter Levy recordings

@@danieldabloxgamer9205 her voice is jarring but that isn't the problem. Its the huge gap between the words and the timing of the announcements. The bus is way past the stop before it tells you which stop you are approaching. These announcements are intended for people with sight problems and people who don't know the area. If a passenger wants a stop which the bus has gone past then its a pointless system
