    you guys are lucky you got the type R in the UK where as in the US we have to take the rsx type S motor and swap it in to make it equivalent to yours. i see these things are popular in the UK but not very popular here in the USA. how much camber are you running? spring rates?

    • @D4Z3Dii
      @D4Z3Dii  5 лет назад +1

      Hiya, yeah you are right they are a very popular car here. In Scotland our roads are very narrow so big, powerful and heavy cars can in a lot of cases be a bit too much to be enjoyed on our roads. Type R's are small, light and are the one of the most reliable performance cars you can have, not to mention that they are very low cost here as they sold over 30k of them. My suspension set up is -2 deg camber at the front ( i had to install extended steering arms to get this camber) and -1.2 at the rear. It is not a particularly aggressive set up as i still drive the car on the road. The suspension is KW variant 2, i am not sure what the spring rates are but they have a helper spring so are dual rate. With the dampers on soft they can be quite comfortable on the road.

    I use 235 used Dunlop slicks, and even with the lsd I think they're not enough. U should get wider tires asap, at least at front u could use a 245/40

    • @D4Z3Dii
      @D4Z3Dii  5 лет назад

      Hiya, i agree, i feel like the car is being held back by the lack of grip with only 215 semi slicks all round. It's a lot of work and money to make the car take 245/40 tyres. I'd need fibreglass wings, rolled arches and a new set of wider wheels. Maybe next season :)

      @@D4Z3Dii I use 17x8 +35 front and rear, but had to pull the fenders out. But with slicks I can use - 3 camber.

      @@D4Z3Dii I didn't do the job, but I have
      20mm spacers at front and 15mm at rear to use with the stock wheels at street, because without them it looks really ugly.
