    At my study we are not allowed to wear gloves at the machines, because it could cause super dangerous situations.

    • @DesignsbyDonnie
      @DesignsbyDonnie  7 месяцев назад

      Yes 👍 I actually agree. Very much, gloves can be very dangerous. I only use them when the lumber is very rough like these. Because I end up with a ton of splinters.

    Pretty arrogant about your advertising. Just listening to you talk would make me spend my money elsewhere.

    • @DesignsbyDonnie
      @DesignsbyDonnie  7 месяцев назад +1

      Well, I said it was cause controversy, my logo always does. I personally don’t understand that. Out of curiosity, all hanging art work that one would buy will have an artist huge signature at the bottom of the painting, and would that be arrogant because the artist signed their work? I don’t think so. It’s not advertising, it doesn’t have my email address or phone number or website. It just has my logo and signature. I’m signing my art. It’s okay that you don’t like it, I just don’t understand why someone has an issue with an artist signing their work.

      @@DesignsbyDonnie You need to look up the word "artist". You're definitely not a painter, a sculptor, or a writer of literature or music, as a few examples. Painters have signed their work for centuries (millennia even) signifying completion of the painting. And most all artist signatures are not "huge". In fact, many are very faint and small. The art world is very thankful that paintings are signed. In many cases trying to identify a one thousand year old painting would be very difficult without a signature. A painting with a famous, or even remotely famous signature, will only add value and collectability (unlike your door).
      Regarding your wood door, there is absolutely NO artistic value at all. Sure, there is some skill involved in the construction but I certainly wouldn't call using basic math and geometry artistic. There are much more elaborate wood doors in existence that were built by hand (no power tools) in the past several hundred years. And your door would pale in comparison with the craftsmanship and eye for detail. Quite simply, any skilled carpenter could build your door. So just get over yourself and stop thinking that you are an artist, as that idea is nothing short of laughable. I've been around the block a time or two and I can honestly say that you won't change. You'll continue to believe that you are some sort of Picasso of the woodshop. Of course this is just your overabundant arrogance shining through. I wonder how many jobs that you have lost because of this annoying trait.
      "Artist" ... That's hilarious! 😆😆😆

      I say, you don't like it go to another builder. Personally, I would inlay the logo. He does beautiful work and is proud of what he has accomplished. Arrogant is much too strong. More like confident and proud.

    • @dac9500
      @dac9500 7 месяцев назад

      @@mickkoldy1323 I'm quite sure that the customer wasn't paying for, or even expecting, a ridiculous logo placed on THEIR door. And 'arrogance" is probably not strong enough. His exaggerated self opinion of himself is blatantly obvious throughout the entire video. Pompous, egoistical, conceited, along with an inflated idea of one's self importance are all evident. Even the low number of comments are reflective of the lack of interest in his imperious attitude.
      There are several finish carpenters that I follow here on RUclips. Some of which have had their work featured in publications such as Fine Woodworking, Architectural Digest, and the like. And this is certainly a plateau that this "artist" (hehe) will never ever achieve. 😏

      @@DesignsbyDonnie I see that you deleted my reply to your comment. Now that's the epitome of arrogance. I guess the truth does really hurt, doesn't it?
