I bought some Mission style furniture at Target about 15 years ago and it’s still very good made from rubber trees. I checked Target just to see if they still sold it and they do but none of the stores carry it, it has to be shipped to you. The most expensive piece I had was for a computer desk for $70.00; now it’s almost $400.00 for the same desk. All the other pieces are similarly inflated in price!

Wow, that’s a big price jump. I hope prices come back to reality some time soon

Yes I agree that we are all over taxed 😞 all that tax money I feel is going into our politicians pocket, and into building other countries and definitely not our own country. It seems like all we can do is take it up the tailpipe😞 and stay at home and make nice rustic wood furniture as you did👍🏻 I have made some of our furniture mainly like you said, quality store-bought furniture is just too expense for what it is. Thanks for the video!!

We're borrowing money to give to other countries. Let that sink in.

personally from that video i would much rather have yours. Much better quality i can tell on how it was made and time put into it. That matters and to see it proves it in the end. Plus who wants to give that kind of money away to some business who doesnt know who made what. Great job D!!

Thank you! And I totally agree with you! My wife loved this one that I built better than the store one and I had so much fun making it too! It was a win win

I believe this already aired earlier but still love it and watched it again. Didn’t you have your own shop? Did you get out? Anyway, absolutely love it and it’s amazing. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much! And yes I did have a large workshop but I was renting it and the landlord sold the warehouse for millions and the new owner kicked me out just so to have the property. They have no plans to do anything with the warehouse. Not use it, not rent it, nothing. Weird, right?

@@DesignsbyDonnie I was in a similar situation. Turned out the new owners only wanted to buy and resell the land for more money. Sounds the same way. You still have the skill set to make amazing furniture. All the best! Keep cranking out nice furniture, but miss seeing your consignment pieces.
