Great video! My three words are “tasteful, 60s-inspired and quirky”… think modest necklines, vintage feminine silhouettes, and colourful bold accessories. It took awhile to come to that realization so it was fun hearing you consider your words aloud.
Im late to this party but i do like your chosen 3 words. My initial thought after watching a collection of your videos was comfortable, classic and warm. I always think of classic as kind of put together and a little polish, but also with some wiggle room.
I watched a video that said to test your words against the opposite. So polished to unpolished. If you’re very confident comfortable unpolished the polished fits. Or take words to the extreme. So classic for instance, would you be comfortable in extreme classical outfits. I thought that was an interesting approach and helpful. I like feminine but I could absolutely never take it to the extreme.
Really enjoyed this video and the discussion / process around your words :) My only add-on would be that I found sticking to the intended structure for the words allowed me to evaluate outfits (and find out why they did or didn't work) faster..! E.g. my practical word is Relaxed. All the things I naturally reach for are that. My aspirational word is Maximalist. All the things I gravitate towards and love wearing most involve saturated colours, opulent fabrics, interesting prints, elevated detailing etc... And my emotional word is Feminine. When I'm trying an outfit on in the mirror and there's something wrong or off, if I run through the words in those stages/layers I find the problem easily 100% of the time. Am I relaxed? No it's too contrived. Got it - chill it out. I am relaxed, but is it Maximalist? No there's no print or detail - I went too chill. Got it. Ham it up. I'm relaxed and the pieces are decadent... Do I feel feminine? No... Too many hard edges, too blocky in the footwear, too many dark colours. Easy - swap something out for a drapier fit or a lighter wash. I definitely think everyone should use the words any way that works for them, but if they're having trouble either choosing their words or making the 3WM work for them in a *practical* day to day way then I def recommend trying the original structure. It saved my sanity :-) xo

When I think of classic I do think of timeless and clean, moderate lines, not much detail, but I also think of structure and you don’t seem to be drawn to structure/tailoring looking at your wardrobe. You seem to be drawn to comfort and maybe a bit of natural texture. Btw, you look so great here in this make up, color, small beads, and against this background. I think you do need this brightness and freshness and warmth. Imho that’s the bit of the natural influenced by the ingenue in you. You have a simple circle neckline, small round earrings, round small beads. And the coral lipstick is fabulous on you here. All this gives you energy, but it’s toned down with the simple timeless garments and color blocking. It’s not overpowering on you at Also interesting that you are drawn to animal prints.
Ingenue is so interesting! I'm definitely going to explore that, I might see if I have enough to do a video on exploring the essences on myself. I do like some structure and tailoring in my outfits but I think that comes into play more during the autumn and winter e.g. turtlenecks, ankle boots, tailored wide-leg trousers. I agree with you on the lipstick. It is a beautiful color but it is too bright for your coloring. You could always mix with a softer color.
