Electricity and water...two of the scariest things to have to work with... Please be careful Cole. We don't want to lose our favorite You Tuber. As usual you make the most unusual and entertaining videos. Always look forward to a Sonne Farms video. I saw on my weather app that it looked like you got a good rainstorm yesterday. I hope the rain keeps up for you. Our Wyoming Life has gotten quite a bit of rain for their arid area. Their hay crop is going to be a bumper one for them. Keep up your excellent ranch work and videos for us. ❤ 🐂 🐕 🇺🇸
Cole - I am not a farmer but I am a father. Your attitude through the tough choices and frankly the worry that is on you and your Dad's minds/hearts is inspiring. I am sure your Dad glows with pride. So glad you all are getting enough rain to take some of that stress away. Best of luck to you all.
it's never boring Cole, it's part of farming and some of us know that list never gets done, it just grows and grows.. keep plugging away and things just get better day by day!!
Hi Cole, its great your mum and dad are having a well earned break from the farm. They put all their trust in your hands knowing you will handle everything that needs doing. What's going on with the weather there, one minute it's a drought stopping your corn from growing and now lots of rain with the laneways soaked. I have never seen someone who loves welding gates as much as you do, I know it saves money and you build to your specific needs. Your content is a great variety of your farming tasks and are always interesting. I am missing the 'song of the day', so can you ask your dad for a few songs. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Cole you are truly the framer of today and tomorrow, your father taught you well, caring for the farm, the animals as well as we the people that end up purchasing your product. Thanks for all you do.
Cole, I pray for rain each day for your farm and the area. Thank you Lord for the rain. I hope Brian is not one of the people approaching the Bison. I know he would not, but really people getting gored. Your are doing awesome work, always busy. Blessings.
I'm not American but ' ouch ! ' . Every country has their hard workers and also their lazy ones . Cole was brought up right in everyway ,its as simple as that.
You must be one of those, “I’ve been working my body to death since I was 3, it’s not fair that advances in technology makes it easier for the younger generation”. Go be mad about a self checkout somewhere
Love your sense of humor, from talking to the cows about getting eye protection on to riding the gate, makes me laugh. That was a nice looking gate and nice looking bull and calf. I hope you guys continue to get a decent amount of rain out there, I know ours is much better. Thanks for the fun video, hope you have a nice night and rest of week!
It's amazing how you work to improve things on the farm to make it easier for you father and yourself. You two always care about the cows and the running of everyday functions to running the farm. Love your videos.
I'm so enjoying you're project videos Cole and glad to see the gate's up from the ground and easy to open love you're sense of humour Also glad that the rain lifts some of the stress your feeling because of the drought farming is stressful enough GOD BLESS you all looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Another great gate project done. Looks really good Cole. Resetting those poles was a great idea and using steel posts instead of wood posts. Good job. Like it when the cows were watching you weld. All friends I guess. Ha!!!!!! Nice to hear your folks are in Yellowstone park now. Glad they are enjoying their trip. Good for them. So happy to hear you have gotten several rains. Gives the hay and crops some moisture. Yeah!!!!! Sending prayers for some more rain in your area. You are keeping busy with dad being gone. He will be pleased with all that you have done. Good job Cole. Thanks for everything. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Just keep at keeping at it. You just do what needs doing without complaining and doing it well. So thankful you did get some rain. And thanks for sharing your day with us. Good stuff young man.
Cole, glad you guys are getting rain finally. I live in central Kansas and we have been getting more than enough rain this summer. We were in a drought until June hit. We have gotten over 26” of rain since June. The farmers around us were on track to have the best yielding corn and soy beans in 25+ years until this past Sunday 7/16/23, we had a tree top tornado hit our town of 16,000 people and along came with it, softball hail and flooding. The town is wrecked with damage and now, all the the corn and soy beans are gone, demolished. Nothing left. It’s a tragedy. The entire town was without power for 48 hours. There are still some people currently without power. Our highs are 95+ with humidity, temps are above 105 everyday factoring humidity in. Hope you guys keep getting the much needed rain and my daughter and I love your videos. Keep up the good work!
Hi Cole! You're doing a great job with everything, including videos while your parents are gone. Thank you for that, love your videos!!! Stay safe and healthy!
Amazing seeing what you accomplish by yourself Cole . You see a job or task and proceed to getting all you need to accomplish said task. So glad to hear that ya’l got rain. None here in quite awhile and TEXAS HOT weather 💯 PLUS over 108 yesterday with no end in sight. 🙏 for relief and rain 🌧️ for ALL
Met your dad yesterday at Storla Station. Invested in a couple tee shirts and a hat Plus the stroopwaffles. Your dad is just as he is portrayed in the videos. Great people! Tell him hey from West Virginia
Awesome and amazing video. You just amaze me at how much you know for such a young man. I know your dad and mom are very proud of you. Thank you very much Cole.
Great video and great improvements you are making while you have the time. Really glad you are getting the rain you need for silage and getting some grass growing again for open feeding. I bet Mom and Dad are enjoying Yellowstone, it's a bucket lister for me.
Good show boy ! Dad won’t recognize the place 😊😅😂😂thanks for the video and the laughs and I’m not sure anyone will believe this but you’re doing a great job 😏👍👍👍
I was taking a drink of coffee right when you were nonchalantly videoing while bringing the loader into the barn and there's your dog taking a squat on the concrete, coffee shot out my nose. Don't know why it was funny but it was. Glad to hear you got some rain. :]
I would say it isn’t wise to watch this video in bed at 12:30am. Seeing Cole tell his ladies/fan club to protect their eyes while he welds or it will hurt your eyes. This just cracked me up. I have ear buds in so my husband can’t hear anything. But when I laugh out Loud, it tends to make him jump out of a sound sleep. 😬😂🤣😂
Glad you are getting rain! I hope it keeps coming in manageable amounts. Happy that you aren't on a bin roof like last year and you are staying grounded. When are you and your wife taking summer vacation?
Hey Brian , my brother stopped by Storla Station yesterday & met you. He's from West Virginia , but just recently moved to Mt. I got him started watching a yr ago & he swung by the store... His name is Wayne M. He sent me the pic of the two of you & I realized just how big a fella you are ..lol. I get Cole's reference to sausage fingers & "Brian tight".. See ya nxt month maybe. I'll be comin thru.
great video your attitude through all of your farming problems is totally commendable, you have a super attitude, and that gets you all through the tough times, your dad should be really proud of you your channel is great to watch
I am so happy to hear that you’re getting more rain. The corn will be all even in the near future. Unless they have his watching your videos, he’s going to be very surprised by all the gate work that you have done.
love your comments Cole. You make watching your video's interesting. Love when you interact with the cows. Looks like you kept very busy while the king was on vacation. Glad you are doing such important upgrades around the farm. I'm sure Brian loves that you care so much and want to make things better. So glad every ones prayers were answered for your rain. Be safe.
Nice to see you are getting some rain still praying for more for you and no hail or wind. Dad is going to be happy with all the Gates you are redoing to bad you ran out of pipe time to run to the metal recycler for more cool that you can get and use used pipe stay safe
I don’t know why the north east and the south east are getting so much rain. We got 5 inches last night. If I knew a way to send it back your way, I sure would ! You’re in “The tough get going” mode for sure ! Prayers for rain !
On the border this week and the horror the folks down here see every day is taking a real toll. In the midst of the most heartbreaking situations this stupid song pops into my head and flies loudly out of my mouth, “Sonne farms, Sonne farms, southeastern South Dakota with its natural charms.” Everyone in the place broke out in hysterical laughter. If you don’t get it, never mind. Bravo the gate. Wooooohooooo! Storla Station
Brian comes home from vacation... "Cole, why are all the cows in that one pen constantly walking into things and each other like they can't see or something?" 😏
Hey, Cole, I have set a lot of posts (mostly crossties) and I just pour the sackrete dry into the post hole & tamp down with the shovel handle. In really dry weather, I add water after the fact maybe half way & at the end. I hate it when bags set up in the bag! whats up with that? Yeah there is nearly always enough moisture in the ground. yeah it sets up pretty quickly too. Could save some time & back. I'm workin' right in there with you, sort-of. Love the view.

I can't believe Brian is taking such a long vacation. Most farmers are in a hurry to get back. You are doing a great job holding down the fort!!
He deserves a break from the farm Cole is doing fine with him being gone

Great video Cole and you are doing great while Dad and Mom are on vacation.
Year like this, you should harvest the whole corn plant for silage instead of just the kernel. Just need flat piece of ground and big ass plastic.
we will be doing a lot of that for sure
I love fence building videos... keep em up!!!
#1 fence builder! Your doing great!
Thanks for sharing Cole!
Your videos are always interesting and well done. Here's hoping for more rain. Thank you!
The new gates look really nice. Will be easier on you in the snow with the higher ones not dragging so much!
This channel keeps me going ,I don't want to lie 🤝🤞
thanks!

Cole, I teamed up watching that rain water fill that trench, it was a glorious sight for sure. Still praying for more rain though.
I’m not sick of your projects. I think they are fascinating. By the way…the feels like temperature here is 110, yuck.
Them girls sure do love their pellets.
Good job on the the gates I agree with you on the fence and gates. Better to be safe than sorry.

Hi Cole . Just a suggestion. Get some temporary electric fencing . Fence off the ditches and let your cattle feed on the grass ?
With all the fancy work on the gates you will probably be in contention for,
Gate Master of the Universe !
👍
Hope you get rain this week also. God Bless
Brian comes home from vacation... "Cole, why are all the cows in that one pen constantly walking into things and each other like they can't see or something?" 😏
The cows will be ok, didn't you see them running back to the barn to get their eye protection ?
good to have smart cows 🤣
I find it hard to believe that thing mixes concrete so good but it seems to do a bloody good job 👍🍻🇦🇺

Glad you got that inch of rain. I don't mind the steel gate work you are doing. Take Care Be safe on the farm. Out
Great video Cole.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like you need to do some welding on the frame of the dumptruck. Frame is rusted through
I noticed that too, probably more than just a patch job though.
thank you
