I went with the Smartish case because you can get custom art on the back. Also the customer service is insane with Smartish, they’ll basically send you a new case if your case gets damaged in any way
I got myself a caudabe sheath for my pro max because of your videos. Never heard of them before until I watched your video. And no regrets having it on my 13 pro max. Great texture, slim minimalist protection and look, and great magnetic strength. 10/10 easy.
Same. After a lot of research, just got the Sheath on the strength of Tee’s videos. Could not be happier with it. Thought I’d use until I got the Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro for the iPhone 13 if/when it ever drops, but not feeling like I’m missing out at all with the Sheath. Impulse to buy the Pitaka is tamped down (for now, anyway.) Thanks for the reviews!)
First time doing this type of vs videos so bare with me! I have to find a template to these type of videos to flow more smoothly. Let me know if you like this and want to see other top cases compared against each other!
Love this type of video!! I think this really help your viewers as this kind of comparison can be a deal maker for a purchasing decision! Glad the champ stays champ!
Can’t wait for the sheath to arrive. I already had the gripmunk. I don’t like the back feel. What’s so amazing about the sheath is not just the sides, but the ENTIRE case is covered in the grippy texture.
The caudabe is by far the best case I’ve ever found for the iPhone. Simply perfect! You seem like a case guru and your recommendations are always on point. I bought the case because of your videos. Case Guru!
I have the sheath for my current phone (13 mini) and I had the gripmunk for two of my previous phones (10 and 11). I think they are extremely similar and would generally give the benefit to the cheaper case. I like the magnetic strength, texture, and fit of the sheath, and the color/design options and finger waves of the gripmunk. I think they are both great options and you can’t really go wrong.
I bought both with the intention to return whichever one I liked less. The Caudabe is by far the winner for me. The smooth back on the Gripmunk really defeats the purpose for me. I like using my phone one-handed, and a smooth back means if you adjust your grip away from those finger grooves around the sides, you suddenly have a slick case with no grip. The texture of the Caudabe is far more pleasant to hold than the texture on the sides of the Gripmunk, and without sacrificing any grip. The Gripmunk’s textured sides feel gritty like sandpaper, so it’s not really nice to hold. Caudabe’s buttons are much more clicky. I also prefer the minimal branding on the Caudabe vs the slightly larger Smartish logo. Granted, I bought an Amazon warehouse Smartish Gripmunk that was listed as new, but with damaged packaging, and that brought the price down to less than $6, so since it was so inexpensive it’s not even really worth returning, I’ll probably just keep it around as a backup. One thing I will say is I like the look of the Smartish case a little more. I like the shape of the camera bump cutout, as well as the high-gloss framing on the Smartish. But all the pros for the Caudabe mean it’s my new daily case.
@@Ykodi01234 Honestly, these are my first minimal cases. I’m coming from years as an otter box defender user. I know for a fact that the defender is heavier, but because the otter box is so much wider, that weight is spread out over more surface area and it doesn’t FEEL as heavy. Since the caudabe is so slim, there isn’t a lot of surface area for that weight to be distributed, so it feels a bit heavy, yeah.
@@Ykodi01234 I have to be dead honest with you now, I have gone back to my roots and I use an Otterbox Defender for daily use. The Caudabe Sheath is less slippery than hard plastic, but it’s just not as grippy as I’d like in a phone case. I still have the Sheath for special occasions like if I need to wear a suit for a wedding, it will be easier to conceal a slimmer case than my the otterbox, but honestly, I just feel more secure holding it in the otterbox because of the rubber texture. Also, otterbox has come a LONG way from the bulkiness of just 5 years ago. Their newer cases are more sleek.

Thanks for the suggestion and im def going to do the nomad leather vs Apple leather case. Glad you enjoyed the video! Wasn’t sure if folks were going to like it.
Mostly the slits make the buttons super clicky. But the no slits on the gripmunk the buttons are still super clicky and like you said I hated the slits because dust and debris gets inside.
Same here, I hate cases with slits by the buttons. Having a black phone makes me have to put in extra work to keep it free of dust, otherwise it ends up looking like a lint trap 😂

I just receive my Caudabe Sheath after a long wait .Already got the smartish gripmunk , Caudable are nice ,stylish , BUT i prefer the gripmunk , the magsafe is made of soft fabric vs plastic for Sheath , Sheath dont even have the corners protections inside as the gripmunk and buttons are open and let enter the dust... For 2 time the price : / .Im gonna keep the Sheath for backup and order another gripmunk on top :)
$15 for the Smartish non mag safe vs $35 for the Caudabe- enough said. Caudabe is overpriced- just like dBrand is. Btw, the Smartish Gripzilla is the best overall case for the $.
Sheath is better of the 2. Smartish feels cheaper. Smartish has a better feel in hand. Sheath is slippier but the fit of the case itself and size is better and why I kept the sheath. I might sand the case down a little with some sandpaper to a make it more grippy.

Can’t wait for the sheath to arrive. I already had the gripmunk. I don’t like the back feel. What’s so amazing about the sheath is not just the sides, but the ENTIRE case is covered in the grippy texture.
