How are developers supposed to trust google for any of its future ventures if this is the kind of shit they do? The damage has already been done and they'll always be playing catch-up with Microsoft and Amazon
I don't trust Google for 7 years now. It's not just that they are killing technologies, but they are also changing their API constantly giving an insane amount of work to a solopreneur like me.
It's still a great experience to have in your resume. Saying I was a Google engineer holds a lot of power

Angular , flutter project managements show the truth , as a programmer never invest time to learn google products as they always leave you behind at some point 😂
Uh, what would you rather them do? Continue putting money into something that they've decided based on their analysis is not working? You realize people would then just make fun of them for investing in a failing product?
"but it's open source ! It's not owned by Google, contributors will continue working on it" What people told me when I said to avoid Flutter because it's made by Google
Yes but in main repo P.R. have to be approved by Google team. Now what is the main repo. We have whole Linux fuck up on our hand and torvald is still working on his project
Weird enough, at the same time they are pushing IDX, which showcases app development in browser powered by flutter. It seems google's different teams are not able to plan their approach around CEO's random unplanned decisions
This is wild. I didn't follow Flutter, but I remember a while ago some major distro (I think Ubuntu) redid their installer with Flutter and everyone was like "Flutter is the future..." :\
At the end of the day it's a tool. If it's good enough for the community, it'll be around. Same way Nokia ditched QT but the community (KDE mostly) picked it up. It's already one of the best cross-platform tool. Now, time to see if its worthy enough for the community
But why? Flutter is doing really well, it keeps improving even though I strongly believe KMP is going to be the future of cross platform app development
why do you think kmp will be better than any other cross platform ? i was pushed to learn kmp by intern company because that is the only position they could offer me i was interested in web and backend development before
@@_hudeifa23 KMP is closer to Native than any other cross platform solution out there, also Kotlin as a programming language is much better and more powerful than Dart, I speak from experience, I mainly prefer native but in some situations I was forced to use Flutter, until one day I decided to try KMP, I never looked back
@@_hudeifa23 First off, KMP is closer to Native than any other cross platform, secondly, the Kotlin programming language is far better and more powerful than Dart
That’s why google cloud never have market share bigger than AWS and Microsoft , google is suck that never respect and give consumers confidence to use their tools, even tools made are excellent.
Naa it's not a REAL tech company. Folks google is nothing more than a fancy AD company they only make money from ads and such. Flutter was great but should have been made to work with JS and not DART
That's insufficient info and false knowledge boi, get a life. The only removed some devops guy and moved his job elsewhere cheaper... Get your info correct

Microsoft understands what Google doesn't, developer trust is incredibly important, and Google abuses it and it will hurt them long term
Billion dollar company strat. Throw shit at the wall with your weak arm until something sticks. Use the strong arm to give the execs the good glug.

As a developer I never invest time on their tools. The tools are excellent but their management is shit.
Nah, they ain't killing my boi flutter, nuh uh

That sounds like a reddit comment for some reason.
Shame since flutter was finally doing much better

My guy is gonna be single for life
Better than being broke he is still young
At least he has hobbies and is trying to do RUclips videos. Way to bash someone that's living life, sad shit dude.

If they had this mentality 10 years ago. They wouldn't have the android dominance they have today.
Sometimes you have to play the really long game.
so soon it's gonna be back to the basics? (vanilla js, php, html, css) 😅😅
Php can be run on mobile so it’s all circular -
Never invest time to google’s development tools , earlier or sooner it will leave you behind.
Btw they have a few apps already written in flutter not sure what's their plan
RIP Flutter, you were fun for a while 🙏

Just because some devs were laid off, doesn't mean the framework is dead.
Meta wouldn’t do this. All you angular developers better watch out, your days may be numbered.😮
I guess KMP will be a thing for hybrid app
You think Flutter will get killed off soon? What does your crystal ball says about Flutter?
why angry man lol fluttey is goonaa die
And here we are still waiting for php to die like everyone has guaranteed for years, meanwhile most the web still runs on it
RIP flutter, long live Kotiln multiplatform!
I love flutter, but i always felt uneasy how they treated it, such a shame ill go back to react i think i can trust it

Angular next! Angular next!
Angular never die cause it created for Engineer whereas react created for kids 😂
But they did not get rid of flutter... Why you bury the framework, when the same has happened with a lot of other teams, such as python for example
Because Google
I know he's going to break her heart.

Similar to Stripe, they don't care about their developers
