The lost boy could only recgonize Peter through his smile and shining eyes since that was his natural face back then 😭 lost of innocence thats so deep. When the boy says "Oh there you are Peter" and the soundtrack pops off i try holding it all in then the boys say you promise not to grow old 😭😭😭😭😭 *bawls*
Robin Williams will always be Peter Pan to me, the embodiment of childish humor in a grown man. A child never wanting to grow up always spreading the Light of Hapiness to others
i never liked the disney peter pan films..robin williams on the other hand made me like the peter pan franchise alot as a kid one of the best inspiring move ever :)
Absolute best, most relatable scene ever! I couldn’t possibly tell you how many times I’ve watched this movie!! But this scene is the one that has me bawling every time. I think we all lose ourselves and our innocence somewhere along the line. I’m 38 but my spirit feels 10. Things just become too complicated when we grow older. 😢
John Williams composed this. Starting from 1:03, it becomes eargasmic. There is no more talent in movie productions anymore. At least we lived through the golden age of movie production.
I disagree. Danny elfman does wonderful music. and ive seen some very good independent movies. sadly Hollywood can't seem to get over itself and try following that route.
I dont think they realized how emotionally big scene they made when they were making this scene. Crying manly tears here after like 10 years when i first saw this scene. Fuck
I used to watch this movie a lot when I was younger. Recently I stumbled on it again after potentially 20 years. This scene hits really hard, it almost reminds us of ourselves when we were young once, remembering our young, innocent days of play and fun. The characters [lost boys], signified as our childhood memories, which still exist, however, we have grown old and lost them. This scene is very deep and hits hard....
I can't believe a lot of people hate this movie. It's very underrated, it makes me sad. Also, this scene... aw, the feels. I used to rewind it over and over again.
A great and emotional moment from a truly awesome and underrated movie. Huge part of my childhood, every time I watch this movie, I want to be a kid all over again. This is easily one of my very favorite scenes in the entire movie. I can never watch it without getting teary-eyed.
We lost Tootles the year before we lost Peter Pan & Smee. RIP Arthur Malet. Peter Pan may have got the last line of the film, but Tootles got the last scene
this scene and the last scene in neverland where he passes the sword down are very strong and emotional scenes in the film.. the music is just beautiful... I also love the last scene when peter gives his marbles to that old dude and he flies... life lesson learned there
One of my all time favourite scenes. Robin Williams is one of my childhood legends! It takes me back to the 90's when I was a kid, thinking about make-believe, looking out at the stars wishing I could go to neverland! Amazing how movies bring back so many good memories!
This scene is almost toy story-esque in emotion and powerful if you consider the idea that Peter actually left Never Never Land to grow up and live a normal life... Why would he ever do such a thing?
I'm 39. I seriously have not seen this movie since I was a kid. I was 9 when this came out. Almost the perfect time for this movie in my life. I remember wearing this VHS out. This and Star Wars were my absolute FAVORITE movies growing up. As an adult...jeezus watching this now hits in a totally different way. Right in the mf'ing feels man. That and I miss Robin :(
The best movie of my childhood. The best indeed. Saw so many times. Incredible movie. Love everthing. Great Story. Great interpretation. The Dream Machine worked so well... still work! Go ahead pan the man. Bangrang!!
This scene hurts so hard knowing Peter's confused face is Robin's depression, but deep in there is a wonderful man who just wanted to make people smile.
Anything with some kind of time displacement or one person not aging while everyone else does (and vise versa) makes me incredibly sad. This, interstelllar, flight of the navigator. Hard to describe the feeling and I have no idea why it stings me this way.
The entire premise of the movie is sad. I do wonder if Peter returned to Neverland in his old age like Tootles, or was content to live the rest of his life without ever going back.
Thank you. I never knew there was a name for that sensation. I've had it since I was about 5 and to my memory, this scene was one of the first triggers.
This Is Fantastic! Thankyou God for being able to hear the gift of music! This blew me away as a kid in the theater! They sure don't know how to orchestrate movies like this anymore. There is a great deal of truth to this scene. There are Very Important things that so many of us forget as we grow older! So many become fearful, divided, blind and dead inside. We are meant to be much closer as people! An awareness and understanding of things that only little children understand.
"What's he doing here if he's not Peter Pan, he don't look happy here and who are those kids hooks got? Give him a chance!." Good point and well said young man.
Indeed so! I couldn't even begin to fathom the concept, I looked up this scene just for the sensation, I'm pretty stunned that people felt the same way, and even more stunned that it's a recurring phenomenon.
What a wonderful moment in this more adult version of PETER PAN,where the child clears away the outer layers of adulthood on Peter's face.Perhaps the finest acting of Robin Williams' life.
Awesome scene - thanks for posting it - This entire movie is great. So many classic lines - "death is a great adventure- death is the only adventure." "what do you want old man! Just You!" - discover all the others for yourself.
Took me 20 years to notice this, but the lighting completely changes between shots when the boy is feeling Peter's face. On shot's from Peter's perspective, the boy is lit from Peter's right side, but on shots from his own perspective, he's lit from his own right. A continuity error that took me two decades to notice and I'm not even mad. Love this film.
@Tigerbai1 Some of my favorite lines as well. I feel like a nerd because I can still get chills with that second line you posted lol...and I'll leave you with, "I've just had an apostrophe...I think you mean an epiphany."
This is my favorite scene of the movie. Every once in while I run into a childhood friend I haven't seen in years. Sometimes they change so much I can hardly recognize them, but when they smile I can still see the child they were in their eyes.
I was nine years old when this movie came out. I always cry through this movie but this scene hits the hardest. That little boy looks exactly like my brother did when this movie came out. RIP Robin ❤️🙏🏽
Such a great scene! And when Ruffio gets stabbed and dies in Peter’s arms... man...
This scene reminds me of the child that still exists in all of us. Buried underneath the weight of adulthood and lost innocence.
Spot on
Williams just totally owns this scene.
Robin Williams is good.
But I mean John Williams.
😢 true
Well said
RIP Robin Williams, you are The Pan. Forever and always, Sir...
And Forever Young
He sure did have one heck of a bangerang life.
Looks up to the brightest star in the sky "Oh there you are Robin."
That's ok, I didn't need my heart anyway...
💔😭 Absolutely beautiful!
Bangarang!
That little kid has such wise eyes... What perfect casting!
I love this film, it will forever remain one of my all-time favourites!
Robin Williams will always be Peter Pan to me, the embodiment of childish humor in a grown man. A child never wanting to grow up always spreading the Light of Hapiness to others

You are so right.
That casting tho! Those Lost Boys have such magnificent and characteristic faces.
He's finally back in neverland :')
Chills. That music and moment never fails to give me chills.
Howard shore
i agree with u m8 :)
Schindler's List too
There are still great movies out there but usually they’re independent or foreign films. Mainstream Hollywood has definitely dropped a lot though.
This is hard to watch without tearing up.
oh man i'm trying not to shed a tear but it's hard i love this movie RIP Robin Williams
I dont think they realized how emotionally big scene they made when they were making this scene. Crying manly tears here after like 10 years when i first saw this scene. Fuck
This scene made me cry today
It's gets me every time.
I was 5 when this move came out, and I've loved it since.
Sweet, nostalgic bliss. :')
This scene used to hit a string for some reason, now it hits a bit harder.
youre damn right it does
Yeah this shit slaps
I used to watch this movie a lot when I was younger. Recently I stumbled on it again after potentially 20 years. Coz we're all Peter Pans who've grown up... That's why
This scene made me cry today
I can't believe a lot of people hate this movie. It's very underrated, it makes me sad.
Also, this scene... aw, the feels. I used to rewind it over and over again.
"oh there you are peter"
you just cant help but smile :O
Meanwhile I’m crying.
1:05 The perfect mix of joy and sadness on his face...what a great actor RW was... RIP from France...
I always cry when the little kid says 'oh THERE you are Peter!' and the music just erupts :'( brilliant scene and score by both Williams and Spielberg
I always get goosebumps when this little boy says: There you are Peter :)
I love this movie
A great and emotional moment from a truly awesome and underrated movie. Huge part of my childhood, every time I watch this movie, I want to be a kid all over again. This is easily one of my very favorite scenes in the entire movie. I can never watch it without getting teary-eyed.
Sucha beautiful, emotional moment in the film. And its presented amazingly. They just don't make films like this anymore.
That kid is just so cute
can't stop crying :( rest in peace you amazing man
R.I.P. Pan. This hurts.
This scene makes me cry, and I love the music that is playing. "Welcome back to Neverland Pan the Man."
This movie still brings tears into my eyes, Robin Williams act matchless, and John Williams is a genius!
I remember falling for Rufio like 30 years ago when he called Hook "Capitane Hook"... No idea why lol. Love this whole scene.
Aleni Rivera charles 💖
Aleni Rivera charles 💖
Rufios facial expression at 1:10 is priceless!! Best facial expression acting
He almost ran to him too.😢
You are the Pan Robin...and you always will be.
I love this movie so much! I watched it a billion times growing up.
I've always loved the ASMRness & music of this scene. Beautifully composed.
One of my favorite scenes on a Steven Spielberg film ! Pure magic and beautiful !
Oh my God, this composition made me teary eyed!
we lost mr. smee and now we've lost peter pan.... capt. hook and granny wendy - don't you dare go!!! :'(((
We lost Tootles the year before we lost Peter Pan & Smee. RIP Arthur Malet. Peter Pan may have got the last line of the film, but Tootles got the last scene
We have now lost Granny Wendy. R.I.P Maggie Smith. We still have Captain Hook, though.
I'm 19 now and still get teary eyed at this scene...
It's ok Robin, now you're in Neverland forever. We'll see you soon.
One of my favourite scenes from Hook
R.I.P Robin Williams
Such a powerful moment when the lost boy touches Peter's face and realizes he is Peter Pan.
this scene and the last scene in neverland where he passes the sword down are very strong and emotional scenes in the film.. the music is just beautiful... I also love the last scene when peter gives his marbles to that old dude and he flies... life lesson learned there
One of the best movie ever
This is THE very best scene in the entire movie. They recognize him when he "smiles."
One of my all time favourite scenes. Robin Williams is one of my childhood legends! It takes me back to the 90's when I was a kid, thinking about make-believe, looking out at the stars wishing I could go to neverland! Amazing how movies bring back so many good memories!
I love this movie. I always have. This scene and clip of the soundtrack score; they're my most favorite part.
Best peter pan movie!
by far.....the music with each scene was epic...Steven Spielberg did a helleva job
RIP. can't wait to see you in Neverland.
R.I.P. Robin Williams always in our hearts :(
He felt he couldn't just go on anymore...so heartbreaking, knowing how extremely talented he was. Robin Williams is finally at peace. :-(
What a great scene and the music is perfectly going with.
This scene is almost toy story-esque in emotion and powerful if you consider the idea that Peter actually left Never Never Land to grow up and live a normal life... Why would he ever do such a thing?
Kαλό ταξίδι Robin ! Μια από τις αγαπημένες ταινίες των παιδικών μου χρόνων ! You Are The Pan...Greetings to Neverland !
John Williams is a master to make memorable original scores!
That and I miss Robin :(
I still have tears in my eyes when I`m watching that... we will never forget.... now you are in neverland....
Zuko? is that your voice? haha yes it is!!
Lol
Dang it IS!
The music in the background is so beautiful.
Composed by John Williams, same guy who did original scores for Jaws, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones.
As well as Jurassic Park 1 and 2 and Schindler’s List. The man has range.
This, for me, Is the best rendition of Peter Pan! You will be forever in her heart's Robin! Think Happy thoughts Pan the Man!
Oh John Williams :)
i need a hug.
HUG
Lol
🫂
This makes my cry so much i wish i was never born
*Pockets, played by Isaiah Robinson, should have received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for this scene alone ~*
every time I see this scene I tear up......
Cool Cookie I know what you mean, listening to this makes me think about all the great movies that Robin Williams made.
you are my hero !

The best movie of my childhood.
The best indeed. Saw so many times. Incredible movie. Love everthing. Great Story. Great interpretation. The Dream Machine worked so well... still work!
Go ahead pan the man. Bangrang!!
This scene is Epic! brings everyone of you years back!
One of the greatest movies of all time. they just don't make them like this anymore.
This scene hurts so hard knowing Peter's confused face is Robin's depression, but deep in there is a wonderful man who just wanted to make people smile.
one of the best movies during childhood and after. amazing, gets better every time u watch. WELCOME BACK TO NEVERLAND PAN THE MAN!!!

The little boy touching his face in the beginning is just too adorable. LOL!
I never thought I would cry over a celebrity death.. And then I got about 5 seconds into this video :(
One of te best scenes ever...What an actor..what a director..and what a MUSIC...just Magic...
My most favorite scene of this movie. It always makes me cry and gives me chills.
Indeed so! I couldn't even begin to fathom the concept, I looked up this scene just for the sensation, I'm pretty stunned that people felt the same way, and even more stunned that it's a recurring phenomenon.
Rest in peace, dear Robin.
What a wonderful moment in this more adult version of PETER PAN,where the child clears away the outer layers of adulthood on Peter's face.Perhaps the finest acting of Robin Williams' life.
That little kid is just the cutest thing! :) This movie makes me smile sooooooo much! :)
One of my favorite Robin Williams movies of all time. RIP.
Awesome scene - thanks for posting it - This entire movie is great. So many classic lines - "death is a great adventure- death is the only adventure." "what do you want old man! Just You!" - discover all the others for yourself.

My absolute favourite scene in this movie. A beautiful moment.
Rotten Tomatoes can SUCK IT about their review of this film, truly an awesome scene, RIP Robin Williams
RIP Robin Williams :( From France
This is my favorite scene of the movie. Every once in while I run into a childhood friend I haven't seen in years. Sometimes they change so much I can hardly recognize them, but when they smile I can still see the child they were in their eyes.
This scene with the music made me shed a tear
The little boy is just too cute. This is one of the best parts of the movie.
I was nine years old when this movie came out. I always cry through this movie but this scene hits the hardest. That little boy looks exactly like my brother did when this movie came out. RIP Robin ❤️🙏🏽
You notice when the little boy says "welcome back to Neverland Pan the man", you can see Robin Williams mouthing the lines with him.
One of the best movies i saw when i was 10 years old :)
