"I wake up at 4:45 to 5:00 AM. The main reason I do this is because it's uncomfortable. It is not comfortable to wake up and get out of bed and walk to the gym in the middle of the winter. And we live in a world were it's very easy to be comfortable so I think we actually have to put ourselves in positions were we are now uncomfortable to grow as humans." - Erik Conover.
Your videos give me life. I kind-of feel like trying out intermittent fasting again. I did it for awhile, fasting 16 hours & being 'allowed to eat' for 8 hours while tracking my calories. It did work well. Stopped though because emotional eating came in the way. Now, a lot of things changed for the better so I might try it again. Happy Holidays, Erik!
A day in my life of living in the city consists of me getting mad at everyone for walking too slow or not moving fully into the subway, getting cat called, trying to live off of my groceries & dealing with the humidity or extreme cold. I’m glad you make it look so amazing hahah
Almost 3 or 4 years ago I started watching RUclips and have been following your progress ever since Eric all the way from your start and it's amazing how far you've come my man.You inspire me and capture my imagination for life in this big world.

I would love to know how you plan your trips ;) Merry Christmas, great NY video :-)
I lived in Brooklyn, New York for 64 years retired and relocated to a different state. When I watch your New York City videos you pull the strings of my nostalgia heart. Even though I love where I live now I can sincerely say New York is a spectacular city! By the way you are a very handsome young man.
I miss when you had the camera in your hand, vlogging. Maybe it’s because this video has a voice over. Though I miss the days when you lived in little apartments and had cozy personal videos. Happy for your success though. Change is constant.
Actually willpower has very little to do with it, it’s great for like 3 days and then it runs out and you go back to square one. I find that accountability works best, holding yourself accountable to your decisions or if possible finding someone else that can do that like a friend who’s waiting for you or a trainer etc
One thing I learned from you and Ryan Serhant: - Wake up 5:00am everyday. I just began that habit. I also watched a vid by Jocko Willink, and adjusted mine to 4:30. Not a suggestion at all...I am just seeing how success works. Thanks for sharing Erik.
I'm proud Filipino living in US, im happy that your coming to see the Philippines, its more Fun in the Philippines, Hope you don't left your Heart in the Philippines.....enjoy and Mabuhay
Why I REFUSE to live in the city: its noisy and unhealthy stress for me. I live in the suburbs of Washington state and will drive an hour and a half to the mountains to snowboard during the winter season. I'll wake at 5 a.m. super excited to hit the mountains...shred all day! If I'm home, I have my home gym to train in; my body trained me to wake at 5 a.m. every morning during the winter due to the habit of waking up to snowboard. And Mahalo Eric for all of your inspiring videos! I have traveled to Finland Lapland (to snowboard) this year because of your inspiring videos! Do a travel video on Seattle and all of the outdoor adventures here, comparison of New York and Seattle. Aloha! (I'm originally from Hawaii!)
Different people find different living experiences comfortable. I used to live in Los Angeles, currently live in Washington State, and hope to move to New York in the near future. I love nature, but I need the energy that a big city provides to keep my motivated. I find myself becoming lackadaisical and lethargic in environments without people, noise, or constant activity.
Wow division 1 rowing?!? That’s awesome!! I love learning new things about your life before RUclips and I firmly believe rowing is the best cardio you can do. I almost always choose to warm up with a quick 15 mins. It’s a full body workout in itself!!
You should definitely do a video on how you plan your trips. You have a style similar to Rick Steves-which is a good thing-simple, yet descriptive, and uplifting. You are helping your generation get off the cough, off the video games and outdoors to see the world. Thank you!
I been following u since ur still staying with jess, editing with ur ipad, open ur snail mail behind that brick wall in ur small apartment...your channel grow so much,u r such an inspiration...bcuz of u i dare myself to travel around the world n making content on youtube...anyway thanks again eric...cant wait ur philipine trip on 2019...
I love New York's architecture and its massiveness! That's one of the reasons I use New York as background to my YT videos where I talk about living in USA from a perspective of a Polish girl;) With English subtitles obviously ;) and your video gave me some ideas for my channel so thank you!
Thank you . Best content ever. I live in Austria, Vienna and i was in NY in 2011. It was my dream to visit NYC, but when i watch your videos, i feel like being there over and over again. Respect and thanks
I would love to see both videos: how you plan your travel trips and your fitness routines. Maybe even a video about how you do fitness when you're traveling!
Im excited for you Philippine trip, there are many bloggers already made videos but still excited how u gonna present it knowing u have high quality editing and story telling, good luck and enjoy!
I saw you filming this! But I didn’t stop to say hi because-well crowds haha. I agree with doing something uncomfortable. I flew all the way out to NYC for Christmas, immerse myself into the heart of it, and had a bit of a sensory overload. But it’s all for growth!
Consider doing more NYC Vlogs, your daily routine and maybe an update for your apartment tour and waiting for the Philippines series as well ! Cheers mate !
I love New York. The multicultural and the diversity is just so beautiful and amazing. The lights are amazing as well, the issue........everything is just so expensive
i'm so happy with how much your channel has grown since i've begun watching your vlogs at around 12k. you're over 600k now which is amazing because you so deserve it. i'm always looking forward to your content. as always, thank you for the inspiration. xx
Erik, this is really refreshing and motivating to see you dedicated to health, work, hobby and life overall. Good video to get motivation to start the new year. Applause from Hong Kong.
You're one of the best RUclipsr ever your video content are really great. You always show and share significant things. Especially your vlog about Norway that's my favourite.
You are still my favorite! Thank you for making a day in the life video! I am glad you are making time to enjoy your life! Can we see your Mom/Dad again in 2019? Surfing trips planned in your future?
Definitely interested in a travel planning video - like old school DVD behind the scenes of a film, learning how something came into reality makes you appreciate it in a new way
Excited for you to see my country! My love for NYC made me subscribe to ur channel, I've never missed an episode since! Please squeeze in a fan meet up in Manila soon!
I always wanted to go to NY and I just did for the first time! I'm 17 and I'm from the Netherlands. I love your channel and I can't wait to see more of your video's and travel! Keep going!!!
Great to hear your going to the Philippines. Must see Puerto Princesa, Port Barton and El Nido all in the Province of Palawan. New in NYC and your videos are entertaining and very informative. Proud Palawena here. Good luck in your Philippine adventure!!!
Will a video of yours ever disappoint me ? I honestly don't think so ! The filming, editing and content are just flawless. Thank you again for such a great video ! Merry Christmas from France
Yes! Other video video ideas are your workout routine/program aaand how you plan out your trips! I do look forward to a NY vlog here and there? One can’t hurt ;) and I look forward to the travel vlogs... thank you for this treat!
I’m a Travel Agent and I’d love to see a video about your trips and travels! 🤗 I’m curious to see yours. There is so much that goes behind it that people don’t realize.
Just got back from a week in NYC . I currently live in Texas, and have lived traveled all over. My initial thoughts on NYC are pretty positive. The weather sucked last week (wet & cold) but we still had fun seeing all the major tourist things. I felt pretty safe in NYC & even with so many people, traveling around was manageable. Compared to Paris & Rome which I visited few months ago, that was stressful & some areas were sketchy. I’m sure NYC has same, but it seems city planners do a decent job keeping NYC together.
Man so nice that i had been finding you while i saw some interesting video about live in NY city. After that i understood you are very inspiring person! Your video is amazing!
Hi. I’m from Hungary and Iike your channel very much. Especially your videos about New York and of course I would love to see videos about how you plan your trips. Your workout could be also Interesting, so do it pls!👍This summer I was a few days in NY, it is truly an amazing city!
Let's see that fitness video Erik -- that would be great. Also -- how you stay sharp mentally (productive, time put in grinding, anti-procrastination).
SUBSCRIBED. 0:56 is full testimony why......you GRIND! Have watched/liked ALL of your vids bcuz ur NOT "uppity" with the High End. You keep us "Daily Grinders" motivated....🔥💯👍
Hey Erik, I recently found your channel and I absolutely love it! Keep up the amazing work! I was wondering how do you film with a drone in NYC? I am planning a trip this year and I really want to bring my drone, but I read that it is not allowed to fly except for some parks... Any information from locals would be of much help. Thank you in advance! Regards from Denmark! xoxo Ellie
Im from the Philippines! Since you’ll be visiting the PH, try and come see Iloilo City. It used to be the queen city of the south before Cebu City got the title. There are a lot of beaches here (mostly hidden gems and not mainstream) and its a 4 hour bus ride from Boracay. We’ll be happy to tour you here!
I went to NY this year and I have never seen so many depressed people in one place. Was extremely surprised after watching YT videos. I need to lower my expectations haha
Probably because they're all working 2-3 jobs just to be able to afford to pay their rent. It's an awesome city...if you're rich. If you're not, it's a constant struggle.
@@brandonb.5304 Yep its one of those rare cities where you genuinely need to be loaded to enjoy it. 1 million $ at least for an absolute shithole in Manhattan with no trees or balconies... + A constant stress outside and noise... Idk who in their right mind would want to live there without at least 10k a month
glad to know your coming here in the Philippines, hope it will be sunny when you get here because right now were having a very wet holiday season . lol
Last video of 2018!! Comment below what type of videos you want to see in 2019...vlogs, travel films or apartment tours.
