My dad was a barber 60s to mid 70s. Summertime end of school he always gave us the pineapple haircut. We could never let our hair growout. Dad always said as Long as he was a barber no son of his was going to have long hair.
The 70’s was a tough era for the barber.

Hi what do you call a hair cut the starts short at the top front of the head and gets gradually longer as you reach the top back? All the hair in the top is then combed forward. The sides are short. I’ve only seen haircuts where all the hair on top is cut at an even length of starts short in the back and gets longer as you get to the front fringe.
I think you are describing a wolf cut or shag
@@theoneminutebarber hi thank you for responding. I meant to say the back of the head is short as well like a fade or taper, same as the sides. The graduation in length is only on the top of the hair. Do people even cut hair like this? Basically just the reverse of a crew cut on top
