Thank you! I agree with you about Dimash's vibrato in general, and on that one note, "survive", in particular. That note is about 30% tone and 70% air...how do you get vibrato with that? His vibrato alone is a masterclass! I've heard him get vibrato with even a little more air to tone ratio, maybe 80% air on some notes in his songs "Ikanaide" and "Quiran Elim". I really believe that someday we're going to hear Dimash get vibrato with 100% air. He'll just stand there and breathe, and his breath will have pitch with vibrato. It shouldn't be possible, but I think somehow he's working on it.

There are many great songs from Dimash but if you enjoyed the flow of this one more, I suggest his cover of The Love of Tired Swans! Igor also composed tlots and was sung by Lara Fabian first but I prefer Dimash's cover more. It's my favorite cover song by him. Everything about the song is beautiful. The flow, the transitions, the way he looked while singing, the lyrics, it's very timeless and classy. ❤ Maybe you can do a double reaction to the song. The power is incredible, the desperation, all the questions, an incredible and original arrangement! (by Dimash's friend Erlan Bekchurin), and when the song came to the end I literally cried with pain and grief and laughed with being so enthusiastic and happy.... Complete mix of pure emotion, and I still feel it and love this song forever! 5 days ago I was lucky to be for the first time on Dimash's live concert in Germany..... I was crying again for I couldn't believe it was real. This man and his voice is just so amazing and lovable... Thank you, hope for more Dimash!
Yes Dimash deliberately takes us on a journey - sometimes a roller coaster! Not only vocally - but in his performance intensity and thoroughly, passionately 'inhabiting' the storyline of each song. His control and intentionality in every note and breath between is exquisite , & yes, inspirational. As a 'casual singer' myself I often find I'm unconsciously holding my own breath along with every phrase - note and usually run out of air LOOOOOONG before Dimash does! I only become aware of it when suddenly; "Damn! I need to breath!" A lot of people are left breathless by Dimash. I hear he swims a LOT to maintain and expand his lung capacity and that explains much, but this sits on a bedrock also of daily practice. 😉

Igor was a retired millionaire composer who, after Diamshs' performance of Sinful Passion, came out of retirement to write music for Dimash. I can only imagine being an accomplished composer and finally hearing a voice that could sing the songs to the music he was waiting to compose. That is where that air comes from.
