Loved her English dry sense of humour in Downton Abbey. She was a very special lady! I saw one of her sons (Toby) in a movie (maybe series) version of the classic Jane Eyre several years ago. He definitely had acquired his mother’s acting talents. Thanks for submitting this bio about her. 🍁🍁 Cheers!
What a great actress she was I loved her in the original clash of the titans sister act and Harry Potter God bless her May she rest in peace ❤😢 I love you so much your 1 fan for life
Wow she had Graves’ disease and cancer while being over 60 & before/during Downton and the Potter movies. That is the epitome of “Keep calm and carry on” 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫 💫
I loved Maggie in Downtown Abbey as well. I remember she was a guest on the Carol Burnett show and was in a skit where she played the teacher of Eunice and Ed ( Mama's Family) son Bubba. ☺️ Thanks for the memories ma'am, you are missed. 🙏💓🌄🌈🕊️💐
I loved so much of her work. But if I had to pick one TV show, of course it would be Downton Abbey & one movie It would be the original clash of the Titans. I know her role was small in that, but she packed a punch.😊

I saw a clip of her with Dame Judy Dench ( who I think has a funny personality ) ,.and another Dame who I did not know. That unknown woman was lamenting that she couldn't hear well that
Day. Maggie Smith held out her hearing aid and asked if wanted to borrow hers. To know those three enjoyed each other's company gives an insight to their world just having a luncheon.
One o' the 🇻🇬 G.O.A.T.'s...Always wondered if Dame Maggie and Sir Michael ( Sir Michael Caine ) ever worked together... They always reminded me o' each other...
Great actress!
RIP Dame Maggie 🕊️
She was a an EXCELLENT ACTRESS.

I loved her ❤ You will be so missed Rip Maggie 🙏❤️🛐
My mom took me to the theater to see, "The Prime..." & "Travels...". She was very British.
"The Prime Of Miss Jean B" had a beautiful theme song (Rod McKuen - "Jean") that made the rotation. I strongly suggest you give it a listen.
My House in Umbria is not a well-known film of hers but definitely worth a look if you appreciate this fine woman's talent.

What has always been a cause for wonder to me is at what point in her career did one of her eyes deide to go into a different king of work.
