here I was thinking that anything below 33mm wouldn't fit my taste, but I was blown away with the stuff you captured with the 8mm, and now it's definitely on my wish list :) great video, and I almost never bother to comment...
Fuji 33mm f1.4 & 90mm f2 are wonderful lenses & will not disappoint you. I may opt for the 18mm f1.4 lens in my lineup as I have the original 23mm f1.4 with the focus clutch mechanism & this lens performs well IMHO. Best wishes for your channel.😊
I have both 23mm and 33mm 1.4 WR. Initially, I thought that there is a small difference between the two but I was wrong. There’s a huge difference in compression and look, so I had to get both. :)
I'll endorse the 8mm. Everything I shoot on my channel is done in 14mm GM, and it's close to equivalent for that 8. What's a couple mm among friends. It is a learning width like you say. A lot of perspective work goes into composition that a narrower focal length does not make you think about.
Have you tried the 8mm F3.5 for astrophotography landscape milkyway ? It looks like convenient low weight and long Time exposure before trailing ....... Any experience ?????
thank you for this video. I honestly tried to figure out which of the two lenses I wanted to buy, 23mm or 33mm, but I still find it difficult to choose. I want to photograph nature, landscapes and myself against the backdrop of nature. So what kind of objective one suits me so well for these purposes? thanks!
I’d probably opt for the 23mm, wider and you can get more of the landscape if you want to be in front of the camera! If you wanna do talking head stuff that is or just be in the scene and film yourself i think the 23 would be better for sure
thank you for your answer! but after watching another of your videos, I had another question about one pair - 23mm and 16-55mm F/2.8. In the previous question, I described the purpose of my future shooting. So which of these two lenses would be better? 23mm or 16-55mm? in the near future I want to buy my first and only objective lens, so for me this issue of choice is very important, so that I can be satisfied later. Thank you very much!
@@yourhesperuswell first do you want a zoom or a prime lens thats the first question! But if I can afford only one, I would go for thr 16-55 2.8 , lowlight isnt as good as the 23 but you get more use and versatility out if it. Unless you want to shoot at 23mm or 33mm focal length! But as a start the 16-55 is definitely an amazing choice, and the 23 and 33 will help you learn about better composition since its a prime! If its up to me and I just started and want to photograph nature and landscapes and yourself, even video, get the 16-55
Nice choice, I own one he 23mm, 33mm and the 56mm all wr version, but Ido need a ultra wide angle lens. Looking forward for the Viltrox 13mm or the 16mm also a zoom will work like the Sigma 10-18 or xf 10-24mm,still deciding
@@rdtstudios compared to the 8 not as much! I love it though it definitely has its own applications, with its f1.4 aperture definitely great at lowlight
Really really nice photos you got with those lenses! Love em
THANK YOU!
The photos are so good!
Appreciate it sir!
Had to subscribe after this one. Awesome photos and great review.
Appreciate this a lot!

Thank you so much for this comment, it means a lot and shows im actually doing something right
I travel with 9mm 2.8, 35mm1.4 and 55-200mm for my Fujifilm

THANK YOU SO MUCH! and the 18 is a beauty! Its a really good lens
Great summary - it was very helpful - thank you
You're very welcome!

Rarely people would say the 8mm would be in their top 3! But I honestly loved using it!

You have a typo at 4.36 you introduce the Fujinon 90mm as a 9mm lens
My bad
Have you tried the Viltrox 75mm f1.2 pro?
Omg such an amazing lens for the price. I love mine
@@CoffeeNdCameras next on my list however the sigma 56mm is cheaper and much smaller so it’s hard to ignore.
Ive tried it once for 10 minutes! Its such a beast, I hope I can try to make a third party best lenses video but id have to try out several ones
@@Soul_Visuals_Photography yeah I can see that form factor. I just know I absolutely love mine and definitely glad I made the choice.
That’s a 90 right?? Not a 9mm confused me as I am not Fuji owner
Yes I wrote 9 by mistake!

My attitude with the 90mm is, if It's heavy, work out. Or use a pack that has a waist strap like a backpack to put the weight on your hips...
Haha work out is a great advice!
Surprised the 8mm is made in Philippines
I had no idea haha

Do you find it to wide?@@snapsbytaha
