you say overrated i say absolutly amazing. i have played through FF7 at least 20 times and everytime i learn something about the story i didnt know before or find a small secret ive missed each time prior. its likely one of the deepest FF games ever. (though not my favorite squarsoft game, that goes to Legend of Dragoon)
I looked on wikipedia, there is no mention of someone with the surname Nomura. Rather than being cryptic maybe you could give me his full name so I can search him?
Thanks, but if you'd read my second reply I found out who he is. Well, we've ended up pointlessly arguing, so let's leave it. This is my last post. P.S. Great music, no?
I read your second reply, and you found out wrong. Yes he does write. He wrote VII, helped write VIII, writes and directs the KH series and so on. However writing or not none of the games he has major involvement in are deep. VI may not be as thought-provoking as some other games and stories out there but it's much moreso than VII or VIII. Again, the point here is that depth and intricacy are two different things.
I'm pretty sure they used the same sounds in FFVI as they did in FFVII. Well, with the music anyway. Wouldn't that mean that they should sound exactly the same?
The bass line sounds a bit too dissonant at times; I feel like this would have been fucking amazing if it were tweaked a bit. Point in case: the break at 0:27 sounds amazing. Seriously, damn.
Well, actually, 12. My response was uncalled for, so I apologise. But here's a response that isn't uncalled for: millions of people all over the world would indeed call a Final Fantasy deep, so don't pretend everything you say is fact. Why the random Japanese surname? The series is called Final Fantasy, so don't stick words or a word in front of that to make yourself look clever. Plus, adding to the original conversation: in my view: Final Fantasy VII is overhyped, not overrated.
@strifey07 i havnt played FF 14 (cus i dont think its out yet) but FF 11 online SUCKED DONKEY BALLS. really i preferred playing perfect world international (and that was FREE) also just saying......FFXIII was not good.
You are commenting on an FF7 video. You should have known about these butthurt people. Just sayin man, not trying to cause anymore problems or anything.
12? Well that explains a lot. And I don't "pretend" everything I say is fact, I KNOW everything I say is fact. I speak objectively. Now then, what you need to understand is that deep and intricate are two different things. Nomura is good at intricate plots, but there's nothing profound or "deep" about them. "Why the random Japanese surname? The series is called Final Fantasy, so don't stick words or a word in front of that to make yourself look clever." Clearly you are unaware of who Nomura is.
But of course, it's common sense. That's not going to keep me from exercising freedom of speech and spreading the truth where I see fit. It's not my fault that fanboys can't be objective.
What you say does not matter. I only speak the truth. Say whatever you want but the FACT of the matter is that it's overrated. Regardless. And please, for the love of all intelligence don't try to call FFVII "deep." You clearly don't know what that means. Nobody older than a 7th grader thinks any Nomura Final Fantasy is deep. They can be elaborate or convoluted, but not deep.
This is what the fanbase should be more like: no bashing of other games, just a mutual appreciation of the entire series as a whole.
It can be said that good things come from disagreement
CrashCloudicoot vs Dr. Cortexiroth
Hmm... I believe you robbed someone of their comment sir, but I'm not one to judge
Curse you clown, give me the warring triad!
This is a bit more techno-ish to these ears but still kills. FF7 had my favorite boss battle themes, and this rules.

Love it. My god I havn't been on youtube in a long time.
Man I love this
Very cool!
nope even in 16bit it still sounds like your battling a fitness instructor
+gawreluck Haha! I disagree with ya, but damn that's a funny reference! Hats off to you Sir/Ma'am!
+peaceandlovegaming huh....what did i reference?
the fitness instructor you mentioned, it was pretty good! ;) (i'm not sure reference is the correct word here, English isn't my primary language)
peaceandlovegaming ah im glad you enjoyed it :)
+gawreluck Sound like I'm fighting a garage/house dj
Quite impressive
This song is LEGENDARY in the original, but here, it's SSSOOOO MUCH BETTER
Terra vs bizarro kefka
@TheCrimsionFlash
It does use a few of the same instruments and sounds as FF6 though.
The opening instantly made me think of Kingdom Hearts, for some reason
If Kingdom Hearts was in 16-bit.
That's adorable.
Birth of a Magic God
More like Birth of a God clown
I always though this would suit FF6 more than 7 😂😂
Yeah I like 7 more, but this sounds more like it's better suited for Kefka.
BlackWingedSeraph it's weird I can't even describe why? Parts of the song correspond to 6 I guess?
I can totally see a 4-team party facing off against Bizarro-Sephiroth in traditional 2D battle action! Cloud, Cid, Vincent and Yuffie for the win!
like to see you make dancing mad in ff7 remake haha. oh yeah my requests are doing more FF1-5 remakes through ff6 or 7 soundtrack.
That'd be a awesome idea!
The beggining somehow sounds like it would belong in a Crash Bandicoot game.
WHY DID THIS MAKE ME THINK OF APE ESCAPE
@darth612 Due to it being so related to FF7 (they take place in the same world in different periods of time) no
@endlessend2646 I really don't think a PS1 game would use the soundfont from a SNES game.
Ha ha, Man of Truth sounds just like me. Lol
@WoldenNights Except for everything that came after "Enix" got involved. I think the vast majority of FF fans feel that way.
Tetsuya Nomura. He is the man behind FFVII, VIII, X and the FNC compilation, as well as the KH series.
He just drew the characters dude, chill. Except KH.
Epick troll xD
@WolfenNights Except for XIII. =P
@WolfenNights Are we allowed to hate X-2?
I'll go ahead and do what I've been doing; Be right about everything I talk about.
@GruppeSechs2004 um no.....Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, Vincent(or cid)
I looked on wikipedia, there is no mention of someone with the surname Nomura. Rather than being cryptic maybe you could give me his full name so I can search him?

P.S. Great music, no?
Yet you'd happily call VI deep, wouldn't you?
Sounded like you did. Hopefully you found one in the 4 months it took you to come up with a response.

The do not take place in the same world. Same universe, different planet.
i constantly list issues off with all final fantasy games, even my favorites.
I'm pretty sure they used the same sounds in FFVI as they did in FFVII. Well, with the music anyway. Wouldn't that mean that they should sound exactly the same?
Oh! I found out who he is. Character designer?! Is he the writer? No! You were still trying to be clever.
The bass line sounds a bit too dissonant at times; I feel like this would have been fucking amazing if it were tweaked a bit.

also just saying......FFXIII was not good.
This song doesn't need a FFVI Soundfont, it needs it's own samples to sound a bit better no offence ^-^

Ahahahaha, how old are you?
These remixes have made me realise how better a lot of FF7's OST would be with a different key. I honestly hated the original, and adore this!
It's... horrible... but kinda funny...
But of course, it's common sense. That's not going to keep me from exercising freedom of speech and spreading the truth where I see fit. It's not my fault that fanboys can't be objective.
FF6 soundfont > FF7 soundfont

Boo hoo.
Being in the same universe doesn't make a game well-made. Especially when it's in the same universe as the most overrated title to begin with.
