Ty for visiting my city! All the "statues" of beers, deer, fish, tugboats are done for charity. People "buy" the statue, then they can paint them pretty much as they like! They change from time to time, before it was tugboats, the prior to that train engines. Anywho, it really livens up downtown :) The big buffalo statue is Marco, the mascot of Marshall University located in downtown. Anyway, sooo glad you got out and walked around a bit, Huntington, while it does have its share of issues, is a very pretty town and we are very proud of our riverfront and also on the south side, Ritter park.
