I think the contrasting edges of the pot are what make it pop in this case...Just goes to show, you don't have to use expensive pots to create wonderful Bonsai, just a good eye...Enjoyed and thanks again for sharing Tom...
I totally agree! 👍 I’ve got several inexpensive pots that I really enjoy. If you can find old ones that have developed some age / patina even better. Personally, I also don’t mind having hairline age cracks, etc which makes each pot unique and since mine never freeze, I’m not concerned. I no longer have a good pot source near me, so it’s a bit of a hit and miss as to finding ones that I like. The Puget Sound Bonsai Association has a few sales per year which are open to everyone and that usually where I find some that I really like. eBay as well, but you’re never really sure what you may get there.
