I taught guitar over 15 years at a music store in Bay City called Mid Michigan Music. When Larry was in town he'd stop by for a couple hours. I had a chance to jam with him a bunch of times. I can say from personal experience he's one of the nicest most down to earth guys out there. I'm so happy that he's getting the respect he deserves. He's a great example of someone who payed his dues and it's finally paying off.
Hats off to Josh Smith for taking a back seat on that tune. He’s definitely my favorite player on that stage. Had I known he was joining Joe, I definitely would have gone to that show.
Wow that reminds me of hearing blues greats when I was pretty young. The quality of the vibe and the respect between the musicians is what took me back there. This not something I get to hear very often. Thanks
Wow!! I feel bad that I didn't have any idea who Larry McCray was before the email from Joe, but I do now and will be giving his CD as a gift to all my guitar buddies.
Damn ! Some nice blues notes, shame Josh didn't get to play some licks ~ but I guess he would have in other parts of the show. Joe is unbelievable, and Larry has the perfect combination of blues vocals extraordinaire, and some cool string bending on his " Flying Vee" Guitar.. I wish I could have been included in the jam..........
Love the conversation between Joe and Larry starting at 13:40. And Larry gets the last word beginning at 16:24! Just WOW 🔥🔥🔥 My kind of conversation! Love you guys!
I saw Larry supporting Gary Moore on his still got the blues tour in Birmingham (England)He was promoting his ambition album and he blew everyone away. I wish Gary would of got him up at the end to jam though. Fantastic gig!
What a find, I've never heard of Larry being from the other side of the pond, but hats off to Joe B for putting him up front .What a player, and that flying V custom is unique, the emblem on the headstock is slightly smaller than normal ,could it be a "custom custom"? Incredible guitar player.
I’m definitely feeling your point. Josh isn’t just your average guitarist . I’m a nobody on guitar, But maybe I can get George Benson to carry my guitar around and fix broken strings 😂 for me 😂
@@TonyPjamas Good luck getting a tripod through security! 🤣 Thanks for this post! Damn that jam between Larry and Joe was worth the price of admission! 🔥🎸🔥🎸
that pedalboard is pretty out of control. he used to brag about only need only one pedal or even nothing but a cable. times have changed. did he say fuck?
My Uncle Larry did his thang on the stage🎸🎤🎶🎵🎵 everyone did a good job💯😘
We love Larry
He sure did, was in row 7. What a man your uncle is, legendary on the strings. Cheers Uncle Larry!

Lovely to see my dear pal Larry playing the blues again despite the Covid crisis. Viva live blues!!!!! ❤️
The Blues can't never die...!!
Larry Tho.. How Great..!!!! Loved it.
Josh Smith is a beast! He’s said in the past as long as he’s on stage playing he doesn’t mind backing up another act; what a professional that guy!
Damn ! Some nice blues notes, shame Josh didn't get to play some licks ~ but I guess he would have in other parts of the show.

Fantastic Larry! Wish I could have been there.
Seen Larry many times in the great north or Michigan: Torch Lake Cafe, Sledders (gone now), outdoor festivals. Always a great show of extreme talent.
So lucky

So im wrong.. that's not Albert King v but he has one of Alberts V's just not that Red one
Hello. Does anyone know the title of the song ? Thank you.
Hey Joe. Please don’t come to Detroit during deer season. I don’t like missing your shows.
i'ont know why but some guys just tap feet out of time because why?
Jesus I like Joe less every time I don't see Josh get to shine on stage with him. Definitely a better more versatile player
I’m definitely feeling your point. Josh isn’t just your average guitarist .
I’m a nobody on guitar,
But maybe I can get George Benson to carry my guitar around and fix broken strings 😂 for me 😂
Look at all those pedals on the floor!
Videographer, please take a tripod and a swivel head. Getting seasick watching. Thanks.
This was just taken from my phone, from my seat. Did the best I could while also enjoying the show :)

@@TonyPjamas... You have nothing to apologize for. Your video is GREAT! Good in every way! Thanks for uploading it.
