I get the societal conditioning around what you are sharing AND it looks like you have an awareness around it which is amazing. Now, it's simply a case of finding a safe space, where all of you is welcome i.e. men's groups, therapist, coach etc, where you can express yourself in the way that's supportive of your expression and growth.
@ oddly enough, I have such an outlet… in my role playing game group. It’s all guys and while we spend a lot of time doing 2D6 damage to the monster of the day, we will talk about things that might be bothering us as well. Although it’s much more fun describing the exploits of Sir Robold as he protects the women, children and others from the rampaging troll than it is talking about how I was slighted and verbally abused by people I care about.
