    My Marriage is in DANGER! Thermal danger that is... My partner prefers to be warmer than I do and summer is coming in quickly, so we need to SAVE MY MARRIAGE with 3D Printing! In this video we will discuss the hvac issue I have in my marriage, design a fix in AutoDesk Fusion 360, 3d print a repair part to solve our problem, and install the 3d print to see if it worked! Follow the journey as I design a 3d printed part to move us toward marital bliss.

    • @MandicReally
      @MandicReally  Месяц назад

      Yea, I have been using TPU gaskets on a lot of fan mounting setups. I was really tempted to put a flat flange on the top of the setup to use some foam sealing tape to seal it to the vent tube. If we were going to live here forever I probably would have, but we are moving relatively soon actually.

    I'm also adhd here: my ac unit is directly over the return for my house. On the AC unit, I used sharpy to write "date last changed". In a box next to it, I put the date of last change woth dry erase marker. Some how, this keeps me from going 3+ months on a system that needs monthly changes. When I get curious, just open the door and instantly know when the next change is due.

    In 3D CADD software, it's more common to use the origin of the of the sketch plane as the center of the part, as opposed to one of the corners of the part. This typically helps aid assembly modeling. However, the way Fusion360 does assemblies is rather poor, in comparison to Solidworks or Inventor. All of that being said, you hit the use of construction lines spot on!

Created a sketch off the face of each, then I used those sketches to Loft between the two. I had to then do the same for each of the individual air passages to cut the internal structure out of the main loft body. It is entirely common for people to experience temperatures differently. I have a high metabolism and just generally run warm when I sleep. That's not a medical issue, its just life.

      But making RUclips videos about making things is my job. I could spend an hour round tripping to Home Depot or have way more fun making a silly RUclips video showing how 3d printers can do more than just make toys. Not to mention I made a custom design that suited my exact wants and needs for this space. No off the shelf product would do that as thoroughly.

      Cause no one clicks on, "3D Printed HVAC Vent Walk-Thru". This is my job, if your job depended on views, you'd make titles that caught attention too.
