    Hey man first of all I raced 2 stroke pro class 125 & 250 motocross so I really like what they've done with the engine for karts!
    Great videos I have been recruited by a local kart team to build engines and setup karts and basically act as a crew chief
    Guess the 36 years of being a master and senior master technician and have spent my whole life racing in the world of outlaws
    Sprint , super late-model, open wheel modified but never until recently dirt oval gokart so your videos and experience have been very instrumental so please keep it up ! Sorry enough of that. NOW VIDEO IDEA TIME so everyone has scale videos but no seems to want to dig in on balance percentages front to rear and yes left to right and still maintain good cross and bite
    And maybe steering axis inclination Ackerman steering and lateral gforce loading .....just kidding
    But seriously I've watched a bunch of vids about scales and nobody seems to want to discuss balance first ,bite and then go for cross
    Thanks Bill

      I’ll see what I can do. Different track conditions take different % sometimes. It’s hard to give hard suggestions when all dirt is different. Super cool about yeh Mx motors, my old man ran MX 70s-80s. Love it.

    Thank you so much for the video! This was exactly the simple, straightforward explanation we needed.My son had been having a little trouble with grip- not enough to make big adjustments, but was curious if air might be a way to help. It worked like a champ in practice this afternoon. Unfortunately, got caught up in a wreck on lap 1 of the heat, but he was happy as could be with "my" brilliant change to his tires before that. Really appreciate it!

    I love your videos, and it helps my son and I with his kart a great deal. We run an asphalt track in Virginia, and this is our 2nd full season having ever raced in a jr3 clone class. All we run is yellow Vegas. We've never treated the tires and I'd try, but I'm scared id screw him up. We've picked up 2 wins so far this season, and it's partly from your advice. Thank you for these videos!

      That’s great!! If you were to experiment with with prep just go with a wipe or two to start and bring in the tires a little quicker. Thank You for watching.

    I see you trimmed your beard ,makes it look better and you have pulled a few tires off the rack behind you

      Wife disagrees but it’s summer and I wanted a change up. Some in the trailer some in the hotbox rolling 😁

    I normally run 8lbs right and 7 on my lefts, yellow vegas...no issues but I might change to 6 and 5

    can you tell me if taking out stagger in the rear will tighten the kart up? Or putting in stagger will loosen the kart up?

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  Год назад

      So adding rear stagger will help center turn but takes cross out of a chassis. If you are running a high cross kart say 65-68% it may tighten entry or exit.
