There are certainly racists that live there, but there are certainly racists that live in New York. Most people in both states are not racists and shouldn't be portrayed that way. There's a reason you didn't see any riots last year throughout the south, where most black people in America actually live. Instead, you saw them up north and across the west coast. As someone from the south, people here would definitely tell you if you're being rude. My boyfriend is from up north, and when we first met I was always telling him that he seemed rude when we were in public, lol. He's lived here long enough now that he knows how to behave and what to say to be polite. From his perspective, people here talk too much. My mom always tells me, you are going to a place that has stores. You aren’t going to Antarctica. There is always a store within an hour drive, if it is life or death! I have a feeling you are like me. I prefer someone not have to wait on me!
you should leave comfy clothes at your parent’s house just for visits! keeping basic pieces there will be a lifesaver for packing!! Also I just love that we all use the same monotone voice when talking to our siblings 😂

I don’t regret it. I’m married to my best friend. I love being with him, I love being his wife. It’s been almost 11 years, and three kids later. Our life isn’t perfect, but it’s beautiful! If I had waited until was in my 30’s, I would have been quite miserable. Especially since I’ve always wanted to be a mom, and my goal was to have kids prior to age 30. And I’m SO glad I did - I had a hysterectomy in my 20’s! My sister who’s a little older then me is having a hysterectomy soon, and thankfully never wanted children but again, if she had wanted to, but waited would never been able to. People should live their lives for what works for them, there’s no set ages for marriage, kids, etc. Everybody is different. :)

I share your concerns, however, I look at it as being "prepared" instead. I come from a military family so we are taught to always anticipate that outside circumstances may cause delays. Therefore, there is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving early and arriving early, just in case. Also, when we rush, we may forget something vital. People will try and make us feel abnormal but we are not. Please understand, I am not trying to minimize your anxiety issue, I just think you should go easy on yourself and wanted to give you a different perspective that preparedness is a strength not a weakness. Woman Power!

I love my last name, and I'm proud of it. When I got married, I had to take his name, but as soon as we were divorced, I took my maiden name back. I so proud of my dad's side of the family.
Omg I get it Clancy! My mom dropped me off 30 minutes before my flight. I was so mad and my anxiety was through the roof. They were almost closing the door to the gate when I arrived. Now that I travel with my own family my husband and I get there 2 hours early to make sure we are covered and have plenty of time to get through the gate and make sure all the kids have used the restroom and are situated.

If you're in a middle seat, ask the attendants at the front desk before you board to find you a better seat, they're usually very nice. Bring snacks, relax, I always remind myself that I'm so fortunate to be flying. Listen to music, watch movies(they sometimes have inflight movies), you'll have a great time!
