Netflix and Meta beat stock drops .... Tesla missed and stock goes up ...we live in a cartoon
Priced in and those 2 stocks been going up why would it keep pumping...Overvalued stonks needs a correction ...Buy the Hype...Sell the News.
Not really. Just means shareholders expected Tesla to be worse.
And expected meta and Netflix to be better.
The "estimate" is the management projection from last quarter. A lot can change in the interim that causes investors to have different expectations.
The only clownish thing is that you're buying individual stocks and don't know this yet.
Its insane lol
If you follow the market long enough you know this is very common. The numbers can be great, and it won't matter. So I don't buy individual stock anymore. I do 2 things... buy the SP500 for long term wealth, and constantly sell way OTM leap puts on the SPY or XSP for income.
Remember it’s the so-called experts or analysts that he likes to talk about. To me it just shows they have knee jerk reaction too!Mostly because they are not confident in their speech.
10 years from now, we'll look back at META's massive dividend increases. My guess is that it'll grow from ($2.00 annually) at a 20% CAGR, which would make it $12.40 10 years from now. I think it'll be even higher (~$15.00). Massive shareholder growth ahead. Hold for the long term.
Chipotle is a great stock to buy
Video states there is no dividend. They declared small dividend recently.
META has Messenger too.
Thank you for the great insights from your videos. I can't express how thankful I am. I have learned so much from you, from your analysis as well as your experience and mistakes that you shared with us.
Paul, I did the same thing. Had a cost basis of 130 and sold at 210. ❤
I told you about the process for selling and talking about selling more to help people. People are scared to talk about selling for some reason. But I mentioned it in the community, on RUclips ect and it was so negitive feedback, copying, bs. Process to buy is the easy part. the process to sell is the part people need to learn more and the hardest part to learn with emotions and everything. When you make the money, you just have to figure out how to keep it and have a process and RULES to keep it and re invest and the cycle goes on. 💯
Paul, you were the voice in my head when I re-analyzed META around 90 bucks, thinking that I am missing something... After the analysis, instead of selling, I doubled the numbers of stocks I owned 😂.
❤ You Paul!
Looking for it to keep falling in the coming days!
I did the same thing, brother. Sold Meta below 300. I've been trading it since and buying dips, but still sad about what I did last year. Sucking it today after earnings with a vacuum.
Thank you!!!! It IS SO hard to buy into a stock at a higher cost. After maybe a 20% increase in price (from my original position) I really struggle to pull the trigger on buying more.
Thank you for your callout on meta, you helped me a lot with your understanding ❤, I have a chipotlane near my house, I think it's better to go inside personally
Can't believe I bought Meta at 88 and sold half of my position at 528 just 2 weeks ago. Thanks Paul for learning me about the emotional side of investing.
I will definitely add more Meta if it goes below 350.
Sharing your mistake is helpful. I have done it many times - sold too soon because of emotion/fear....even though I knew the fundamentals of the company was good. Lost out on a lot of profit. Live and learn and do better.
You sold to take profit! Don’t let greed drive your boat. Just wait till the next one. Always easy too look back with woulda, shoulda, coulda. I shoulda bought Microsoft, Walmart and amazon in the 80s and 90s…
I am saying the same prayer every day now
I give you guys a lot of shit sometimes. Love this video. You’re doing a great job. I did the exact same thing as you with Meta just around the low 200s instead of 190.
Love the prayer… I’m praying with you. If META it goes down to $100… telling my children their college fund is depleted. Good Luck kids.
Earnings are so good but share price gone down, how does that work
It's hard to keep the emotions out when a stock goes up so quickly. I hate it.
The fact is the matter is that stocks never go up an even 15% each year.
So I'm holding on to my AVGO shares.
Now down over 15%, there has been a lot of 10%+ gains and loses after earnings last couple days.
what about IBM?
✅💎📈
My picks go in a pie I send money to every month. As long as the pick is under the value I analyzed it for, it stays in and gets DCA each month. If it goes over, like Meta has, it goes out and I keep it running without adding. I would like to hold picks for a long time, this includes meta, though its return has been crazy and sometimes I do look at it and wonder, should I cash in already. To me, emotions out, no. I hope it falls to add, if it keeps growing, well so does the return. The business hasn't gone bad and I don't see that happening at the moment. DCA's down and DCA's up till they pass the value, keeping it and only adding if it gets below the analysed value due to a drop or improvement.
Need a 20% pullback in meta and I’m building a nice position
So your saying that you have a watch to buy Meta at $325. Do you really think that it will go down that low in the next year. I don't think so but you never know. Its a strong company. I just don't see it.
I bought META at 167 more than 4 years ago and didn’t sell nor bought more
Elon knows how to manipulate investors' appetite ...
By the way, Meta pays dividend
meta pays a dividend!!!!
Crappy earnings report from Tesla, and the stock jumps. Great earnings report from Meta and the stock slumps. Apparently, Paul, Wall Street is more about the fairy tale, as you call it, and less about the fundamentals. It looks like in today's market, the only way to make money is to follow the meme psychology. It's the age of Bitcoin. It just needs to be cool for people to buy into it. That's it. Update: I've now since read that the sour take on Meta may have been due to the poor Q2 revenue projection. So to some extent there seems to have been some fundamentals moving the stock price.
Wallstreet is about quick cash. Not investing. That's why they follow hype over fundamentals
Funny, but valid comment. Businessmen or good CEOs roll with the punches, but if elon Musks budgie dies the stock market panicks.
No dividends? They pay a dividend
I don’t get why Meta dropped?
Meta foward p/e low 20s compared to rest of mag 7 is cheap
think of XRP not META or MEMECOINs ok
META is on sale, and I bought a few!
What’s with the emotions man, I just wanna make $$$ now and not in 20 yrs.
This is what happens when you want to cookie cutter value everything
You’re an emotional guy Paul maybe just buy indexes
Being emotional and knowing it allows you a great chance to control it.
Like he said didn't have a sell plan.
Hahaha why would you buy a company at $88 n sell when its going up to fast...learn from charlie munger paul ...neva sell a good company you think has a great business...
Paul, stop with the personal stories. Unimportant and just wasted time.
Waiting for $meta to retrace back to $50-$75. It is extremely overpriced right now.
Bullshit
