Spiritomb is one of my favourite Pokemon and I would simply love it to be a tanky supporter. Since Spiritomb's whole concept is that it is 108 souls bound together into a keystone, I can imagine creative ways of supporting/disrupting. One moveset could be Pain split, where Spiritomb can link up its allies so the damage taken or healing can be distributed across all linked-up allies. For example, if there are 3 linked allies, any damage dealt to one of the allies will instead deal 1/3rd of the damage to all allies. This move would buff brawling healers such as draining kiss clefable, scizor, or goodra, as they will heal their allies when they use their healing move. This moveset can open up new team compositions, such as 2 supporters and 0 defenders, as Pain split will allow the entire team to take less damage (Individually speaking) and distribute healing across linked allies. Another idea is Curse, where Spiritomb curses opponents, and damage dealt to one cursed opponent will be dealt a small amount to another cursed opponent; essentially, they will share a portion of the damage dealt. These ideas are just very fitting for the Pokemon that is all about bonded and linked souls
Since Ho-oh is a defender I would love a lugia supporter with unite move 'call of the sea' which gives your allies a huge speed boost to get to you. Aeroblast is one of its moves which also creates an AOE of speed boost for allies and slowing down for enemies while also doing chip damage to enemies in the AOE, it has a recovering move (maybe recover or aqua ring). Then it has more damaging moves like extrasensory, which adds a slowing effect to the target as well, and then maybe psychic that has a lower damage that attacker pokemon but also adds more slowing effect.
I think the beauty of Umbreon is that is just a jack of all trades defender. It has immense healing from wish and it’s boosted auto. Has amazing support and doesn’t have to worry about its AD cause it uses the enemies with foul play…. Idk if we’ll ever get a defender/support hybrid on this level without breaking the game again. In a way defenders are also supports just tankier. Umbreon just so happens to be able to heal its teammates or itself with wish. With this in mind, I think a Defender/Support Hybrid I want added is Gourgeist. Healing her teammates using leech seed on the enemies providing lifesteal to them and her. Or providing CC with trick-o-treat making the enemies susceptible to being feared
@RocketVet, you are absolutely right. We need Vaporeon. Vaporeon does have healing abilities like hydrating drops to heal your allies. Honestly, it would make a great supporter/defender. Anyone agrees with me?
I would love vaporeon as a support/defender hybrid, they could do a lot of cool things with vaporeon turning into water and controlling weather, making it a sort of hybrid with crowd control and buffs
Vaporeon with its basic attack being a hydro pump and it’s Moveset being Aqua ringII Rain danceII Acid armorII Weather ball depending which Moveset your choose you do more healing or damage
Rillaboom with like drum beating for snares or maybe like a tether/pull control and then grassy surge as an aoe slow heal. I just want my silly gorilla guy to round out the swsh starter trio
If the support component can be more debuff than heal oriented, then weezing would be a great support/defender. Laying down area control with clouds of smog, acid armor to become strong.
Would love to see Milotic be added as a defender. Since the Feebas evolution in the vg was based on friendship instead of experience, it would be cool to have Feebas evolve in unite on some sort of gauge like Magikarp
A Vaporeon defender would be really great tbh. It is a little odd that they have held the 3 original eeveelutions. That or maybe a Golem seems like it would be great defender that would be fun.
Cresselia. Tons of potential from a Heal/Cleanse attack in Lunar Blessing, a repositioning move in Ally Switch, and the Unite could be something akin to Lunar Dance where Cresselia sacrifices part of its own HP and heals another teammate in exchange. I'd just like a high risk, high reward, bulky supporter that has very strong moves on high cooldown, I'd say.
I'd love to see something like a cradily or a toxapex, something that benefits from guarding points with some sort of ingrain/resistant to hindrances sort of thing.
Man I would love to see some love given to the older gen Mons that always get forgotten. Muk, Steelix and Weezing could be great as bulky defenders, Tauros and Arbok as speedsters, Ludicolo and Exeggcutor as attackers. Also more fossil Pokémon please! Cradily as a defender, Aurorus as bulky support, Kabutops as all rounder or speedster!! What would be really cool is to also release the Gen 1 trio of Jynx, Magmar and Electabuzz as an event!!
I wanna see Ditto. Choose Ditto and then choose 3 more Pokemon and builds. You'll get to select one at the start of the match after seeing opposing team. All of your stats take a 5% hit.

I wanna see Missingno. And it can glitch itself all over the map while in an invulnerable state. HP = 1. By far the fastest mon. Also the fastest scorer. Not really offensive/defensive. Just a scorer supporter speedster thing? Maybe this isn't one of my best ideas.

If you're playing FP Wish it's better to go Weight Resonant or Weight Buddy or even Weight Weakness if you want to play a kind of AR off tank support Umbreon is one of the few mons that fills basically every role in the game
I wanna see support Mankey/Primeape. And he can Seismic Toss a scoring opponents all the way to the own nearest goal zone. (No Annihilape. The world will never be ready)
Umbreon is broken. The Player and/or their Teammates however need to know how to capitalize on it, which isn't hard when you play with a group of people, but is a crapshoot in Solo Q.
If they were to add another hybrid defense and support pokemon, it should be a Goodra rework. Or Amoongus, but nobody cares about Amoongus outside of VGC.
This is my go to when we need a defender and support and no one else feels like picking one. The mon is really just a stupid concept, who came up with a mon with great bulk that can easily trap opponents, without a skill shot even, and heal teammates as well as eldegoss?
My team consists of a last second trev pick who jungles the whole game, and a cinderace who plays like your usual cinderace player. Maybe throw a brain dead espeon into the mix too 😂 i fkn hate ranked
@@darkling5780 On its own it's a broken move, but nowadays it's not insane to use in solo-Q since it relies too heavily on teamwork compared to FP which don't need a follow-up. The devil's in the details.

I think spiritomb will be more of an all-rounder capable of sustenance. It's decently bulky and can deal good damage

not using atk weight when using wish is a total waste of atk ratio on that move. I'd recommend swaping buddy barrier for atk weight.

People need to realize, that Mean look is just a terrible move. Especially in Solo Q. Jake´s move set in this video is THE WAY to play Umbreon.
