Just remember this when working on cars....the whole perseverance arc may apply sometimes but auto mechanics is not football or basketball, knowing when to stop for a moment and reassess what going wrong like stripping a bolt out)or stop and finish the car tomorrow when you're well rested an can think clearly will save you from stripping bolts and breaking parts that didn't need to get damaged and save you a whole lot of heart ache and money.
Pro tip : for loosening the tie rod end, u should hit the side of the knuckle instead of trying to knock it out from underneath if it makes sense. Turning the steering all the way to one side might help getting a better angle at it and not hitting the brake rotors by accident .
If you are scared to get under the car. Slide your wheel/rim under the engine. This way if the jacks somehow fail - the car will just fall on the wheel and hopefully not kill you.
relatable video lol. on my first car, i wanted to just do a “simple 3 hour” brake job. it took me 4 weeks. i had to replace the pads, rotors, calipers and brake master cylinder (basically 70% of the entire brake system). I hate cars.
Used to race 90s Honda Civics (EG, EK, DC2) before. Here are my tips to do this under 30 min. 1. Get a tie-rod end lifter. Internet freaks say its a waste of money but it is so worth it. It works on all ball joints on front knuckle. 2. Mark the tie-rod position with sharpie or whatever. Counting fails, we are dumber than we think. 3. Put anti-seize on threads, future you will thank you. 4. Bend the cotter-pin vertically, not sideways like you do. And trim the excess off to avoid damage on rubber boots. Good luck, it is a good car.

Next time heat up the joint where the Tie rod drops in to with a torch, and then hammer on the joint instead of the tie rod threads. Works every time! You should have also bent the pin under the bolt and the top up bent upwards (to keep it from coming out, ever, it makes it easier to remove the next time)
joyce remember to put a block in front of a rear wheel or front wheel when jacking a car up, since its a manual it might have the ebrake release or break randomly unless you put it in first its a safety precausion
pro tips: don't use your torque wrench for loosening anything because you may break it or it may not be accurate anymore. either get a breaker bar or invest into an electric impact gun. It will make life 100x easier.
just in case you didint know you should never use a torque wrench to undo lug nuts as it can throw the calibration off i recommend you use a breaker bar instead.
this is a start of a car gorl era! oh and btw you should probably cut the excess off of the zip ties and also i saw you hurt your back trying to torque the wheels down, try using your weight to push the ratchet instead of pulling it if that makes sense.
had to change the ball joints and tie rods on my civic once in the heat. it sucked but better than paying $800 for someone else to do it. good thing these hondas are super easy to work on :D

Just so happen that I also need to change my tie rods. Thanks for showing me that I need to just take it to a shop 🙏😂
😂😂😂
Yeah, you need to get the wheels aligned after doing this, so you end up at the shop anyway. Might as well let them do the whole thing.

the downshifting part was so real, when you hit your first rev-matched downshift it feels sooo good!
Unironically super impressive!

was binge watching your content as this video released, keep up the amazing videos :)
8:18 perfect face reveal💀
Dude what about the thumbnail 😂
i was SCREAMING the entire time you screwed it the wrong way lmao
Tech joyce should make a car channel
Yo those are some clean ass pushups!
For future reference, always place your wheel underneath where the frame is just in case the jack or jack stands fail
Joyces Crashouts are insane 😭💀
Love how the face blur decreases every video

TECH JOYCE IS DADYYYYY
At this point we don’t need a face reveal 😭 it’s getting more clear each video🙏
just in case you didint know you should never use a torque wrench to undo lug nuts as it can throw the calibration off i recommend you use a breaker bar instead.
don’t worry about downshifting until you fully comfortable shifting and clutch control, wear gloves next time, get alignment after changing tie rods
at this point the face blur is doing nothing

As an car guy, the Honda Civic is great to work on and arguably the best car to start working on yourself 😊
For the leverage u can use a metal pipe and big large one ant put the wrench inside the metal pipe and push down the metal pipe
