This is brilliant. I had this overflow issue happen to me. Fortunatley i caught it just as the fluid started spilling out. Ill be ordering one. Also, id like to say thank you for saving ats. The new ownership has really brought this company back
This happened to me, but no fire. Wasn’t gauge watching during those days, trans went out, 235 on the dash (after I pulled over and checked), not towing, just normal driving in a hot day in California. The trans was on its way out, maybe the previous owners didn’t take care of it. Anyway, automatically went into a slowdown on the freeway, smoke everywhere, burnt fluid smell, pulled over on limp mode, still smoking. Never caught fire, guess I was lucky. Rebuilt it, new everything, valve body, torque converter, pump, clutches, etc. always watch the trans temps now. It’s a 12, no tbv, runs kind of hot when towing (215 on bumper to bumper with 16k behind me) I just ordered your cooler, deep pan, and filter nipple. Great products thank you.
I love it! Ironically enough, when they recalled my '19 for the auxiliary valve body separator plate modification, we were told that while we waited for parts to be super careful and always monitor trans temps to avoid a fire. So I pulled the dipstick and installed a long hose to the ground. I thought that Ram should have done that quick remedy for folks while they waited for parts but I'm sure the few pennies it would have costs them got brought up. Either way I would have kept the hose but didn't like the fact that I couldn't have the dipstick installed at the same time. I will be buying your product to protect my truck. Thank you!
I put your deep trans pan, trans case brace and trans thermostat block delete on my 2018 Ram 2500 Cummins at 9000 miles. I’ll be adding this as well ASAP. My 68RFE trans runs between 135-142 all the time. Love your company.
Great idea. Most jeep fires are from ATF overheating and doing the same thing. I’m going to put one on my 68RFE with 200k on it since I know I’m on borrowed time & one on my 42RLE on my supercharged jeep came across your video & it sold me.
I never had a problem with my Allison of course I did run deep pan with the cooling fins and remove the PTO cover plate and put the cover there with cooling fins on it also
I feel anti-doomsday device would be a more appropriate name for it. Having your tow rig potentially burn to the ground while on vacation would be devastating, to say the least. Great product idea!
The 68RFE was the major reason I did not buy a RAM. The CP4.2 was the reason for Ford. The "Allison" 10 speed has no dipstick. I was under the belief that automatic transmissions had a vent on the top of the case.
@@jimg2885 Yeah I agree, but I have the 68RFE in my 3500. It's actually a good tranny. I tow a 41 5th wheel that weighs almost 16k and it has no problem. Now if I were to lift it and put 35s on then yeah I think the trans would have issues.
sooooooo sad that ram cannot do this or have the genius's that are supposed to be an engineer figure this out?????????????? thanks for the video and the smartz to help us!!!!!!!!!

You lucky duck. Glad you were alright!

Thank you for your support!
So simple....just brilliant
Going to order 6 of the Damm things.... never had a truck on fire but few times smelled funny....just in case
My buddies friend was on his way to the dealership for a recall and his truck caught fire. A total loss. Great timing.
Sounds good! All I need now is a 68RFE to Allison conversion to go with it. Found out today from a mechanic that I’m on borrowed time.

Allison....lol wha😊t did u expect.... bullet proof work horse
Thanks,I DO LOVE THIS.
GOD BLESS ALL Y'ALL...
I watch my guages rather than talking on the phone or yelling at kids or or or or or or or
Family vacation (as a kid) almost burnt down an older suburban middle of nowhere desert SBC

Rocking a G56 so I guess this isn't an issue for me.
I would mount a catch can on the frame somewhere to catch the oil if it vented.

You don't have to get the 68RFE in the Ram, you can buy the Ram with an Aisin.
@@energypowerification sad they only put the Asian on the 3500. I don't understand why that is not an option on the 2500.

Have you yet make any for the 2017 - 2019 Ford Super Duties 6.7 Powerstroke ?
Brilliant!
I must not need it for my Aisin trans, dipstick is on the driver's side..
Does it have a one way valve from preventing anything going up the hose?
What happens when you're spraying all under your truck and hitting your hot exhaust instead?
Gonna need a bypass oil system and larger trans pan . Not a remedy
Is it a one way valve?
Does the Aisin need this and would this product work for the Aisin ?
Is there one available for 2022 refresh 3.0 duramax ? Will it come with instruction for install ?
Cool.but it needs a catch can
You would definitely want to add this where it can't spray on hot exhaust components and cause the same problems you are trying to avoid.
Easy to fabricate a “catch can” out of stainless steel thermos.
