If Jimi were alive he would go into cardiac arrest seeing this. It would surely be the same if he were to witness Shawn Lane playing his music. Thank Jimi for influencing a generation and beyond.. Randy? If Jimi were still alive that's not going to eliminate the fact that he's not here anymore. Scientist agree🙏
@@learpilot7459 how much stupid can you be?? Just because he is technically good and plays fast doesnt mean he doesnt have no goddamn feel.and what is feel supposed to be anyway?? Bending notes and making faces??

I think this is the best Hendrix tribute I have seen ever. Guitar keeps playing, on feedback by itself - like Hendrix would do and he parts the stage, leaving it to Hendrix - it's his signature on the stage... what an amazing performance.
you can't overstate just how much of an impact hendrix made on the world of electric guitar. people on youtube will argue endlessly over who is the #1 guy (if there is such a thing). but when all is said and done, clapton, page, beck, yngwie, van halen, paul gilbert, shawn lane, satch, and big B all go to bed wearing their jimi hendrix pyjamas
theycallmejpj i think what especially made hendrix' guitar playing so great was the fact that he was very experimental so are buckethead and other guitarists and i think that was one of the biggest influences hendrix had on other guitarists
There's great guitarist, phenomenal, legendary (jimi) but then there's bucket head.. He's the greatest that's ever played. It's his lack of an image and being famous that don't get him the respect as the greatest. Don't even give me the "he doesn't have soul" argument. That's bullshit.. Clearly Buckethead is not a ginger..
BeastOf Bodom he has tons of soul i like him way more than every other guitarist besides shawn lane but still i wouldn't say he's better than hendrix IMO they're equal, but buckethead is way more versatile
+BeastOf Bodom Hendrix fans are typically fucking retards Buckethead and Hendrix are both my favorite guitarists, I dont see how you could like Hendrix and shit talk Buckethead
6:42 - 6:53 is so cleanly performed and sounds so pretty that you can picture him sitting in his bedroom practicing that just repeating that rhythm and that finger motion for an hour straight. I don't doubt it for a second. Absolute perfection.
who gives a toss whether tone was same as hendrix and all that bullocks they are two different guitarists from two different era's. Both brilliant so JUST listen to the music.
@@1DIKOD Jimi would be rolling in his grave if he heard this lack of feel version lol. Buckethead is no different than that guitar player that plays fast at Guitar Center but lacks the emotion in the notes
Both Hendrix and Bucket Head are phenomenal. Why pit one guitarist against the other as if is some sort of battle ? I listen to all good music like Amon Duul , Bowie , Zappa , Richard Wagner and such .
Dear Clegg of the Jeffs persuasion. I am sure Head of the apparent Buckets has a proclivity for kicking ass, and is predisposed to the kickment of the ass part. Although his Hendrix is lacking in Hendrixness, he just kicks ass. Simply by doing Hendrix songs he has won a tad of my attention. He still makes me nervous. The get up is frightening my subconscious.
Nothing beats the sounds of a tube amp, rotovibe pedal, some wah and a Les Paul, albeit a strat would've been more appropriate for Hendrix but we all know Buckethead loves his gibbies
Dear mr head, and mr theycall, before Mr Hendrix moved on to the next realm he was almost entering the incredible world of jazz guitar. So what i am saying is that any jazz guitarist worth their salt can ( literally, jklol ) smoke Hendrix or any other ( fashionable or official ) rock star in their sleep!
If only Jimi were still alive. He would want to jam with Buckethead for sure.
No Rich B. If Jimi was still alive he would be Jamming with Randy.

I agree
they're very different people but can't rule it out.
Been a Hendrix fan since 7th grade, Buckethead fan since highschool. Awesome to finally see the two combine. Too cool
He almost play Jimmy’s music better.
Even his guitar feedback sounds cool. This man is a genius. Probably the best guitarist nowadays.
technically hes good, but he lacks feel. the notes are very generic in his style

Criminally criminally underviewed
I love how Buckethead pauses to give props to the grooves! He is so amazingly rhythmically inclined. Hats (buckets) off to Brian!

Hendrix lives !!! Thanks Buckethead.
Machine Gun is astonishing. I've never seen/heard such remarkable playing in this style. He's in a a class of one.
Unreal feedback!!!

8:46 the super nova arpeggios. there must be like, only 5 guys on the planet that can pull that stuff off, and buckethead is one of them.
Lee Maples dafuq is that?
Lee Maples only one. Through the mask and bucket, I'm pretty sure he can't even see his strings. Simply amazing
Wtf was that
I wish it wasn’t so dark so I could see how it looked
… Mr Buckethead has my utmost respect as a blues , rock , funk , improvisational and mind boggling shredder electric guitar player ….?

Learpilot74 you don’t know shit about Buckethead
Jimi Hendrix had baby and and the baby names was Clapton, Page, Beck, Yngwie, van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Shawn lane and then came Buckethead.
Powerful

I waited 11 minutes for famous machine gun's dive bomb effect but this guy really made smth different instead this

EXECELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty much. Bucket covers the Hendrix play book. A Foxy Lady, Who Knows and Machine Gun.
I will listen to Hendrix any day over Jimmy Buffet.
Tuck Andress once ask me if I played any Hendrix, and he told me I should....what an amazing guitarist...
Wow I’m a big Hendrix fan and I like that
that's a super funky version of foxy lady
cool
Lucky you. I started losing my hair in the 80's. Third row for Bucket Head, lucky you.
If Hendrix had a killswitch OMG
Good thought. He did do wonders with the pickup selection switch.
was there
Does not the Head of Buckets just kick ass?

That made me BOL (burst out laughing)!
Indeed.
Jimi Hendrix’s Machine Gun is one of the most underrated rock songs ever
never heard that most people call it one of the greatest performances by any guitarist dead or alive
Know that I've heard this, I am convinced.
Superbe
Jimi is probably turning over, we all have our favorite guitarist and he is not mine..
Would like to hear a calabaration between BH & John 5.
Would be interesting...
Catfight breaks out inside the arppeggio etude @7:13...
Brilliant finale feedback trance zombie starting @9:45
I wanna see him and the great Jeff Beck imagine that ?

+YoutanPoluo Although, unbeknownst to even me for years and years, jimi did rock an SG - so a Les Paul isn't too far fetched.

Can you smell that Fried Chicken. Pass the Chicken Bucketbhead!

5:30 like a tribute to when Jimi held onto that note on machine gun. You just gotta make a face...
i wish more people played an homage to the band of gypsy’s! i know foxey lady was later, but regardless. amazing
My all time favorite guitar player.
Jaws dropped.Microphone dropped.Fingerlickinggreat.
You know Jimi would have giving Bucket head a Thumbs Up an a ATTA BOY!
