I've watched Paul's videos so many times I think I could teach them myself! Every tip is awesome, you've completely changed the way I think about and play golf.
Paul!!! I know you've not been on here in a couple months, but I had to come to this very video and send you a message. I have, literally, been trying to get a loose armed/wrist golf swing for over a year. It didn't take too long for me to figure it out with my irons/wedges, because they're heavy clubs and were easy to just relax and let the momentum swing it through. However, my driver has been a massive disappointment to me. I could do the loose armed practice swing, all day long, and look like Rory doing it. However, I would step over the ball and then the mental block would kick in and I was chicken winging it and maybe driving the ball 215 to 220 in total. I tried everything you suggested on many of your videos (pumping the arms, swinging the club in my garage for weeks, laying the club on the back of my neck to relax my arms, etc.). However, I came across this video last night and went to the range this morning thinking, "Well, it probably won't work, but we'll see." I was blown away at how much this particular mental trigger worked for me. I never looked at the ball and stayed staring at the target thinking it was a pitcher. Then, as I started the backswing, I coupled this video with the "paint brush" thing you mentioned in another video. I looked down as I started the backswing, and was completely loose through the entire swing. I was driving the ball 250 give or take. I am going to stick with this for a while and let it sink in. THANK YOU!!!
Glad you found that one and tried it. Not one person I have ever had act like they were going to hit a baseball had tight arms. Everyone is loose. So ... keep doing this until you do it all the time. The problem before is you were trying to hit your best shot so of course you went right back to tight arms. You need to just hit a ball with zero arms. This would be you swinging probably under 50%. Get it. Then speed up the legs and hips for power. I deal with this on a daily basis. Everyone ALWAYS wants to hammer it instead of actually making the change. Still with it. You are now on your way. Good job.
I watched this video yesterday Paul & thought i'd try it on course as im having lots of issues with my balance since getting nerve damage in my left foot. I struggle with a reverse pivot, which leads to huge inconsistencies in both direction of the ball and contact. Yet I tried this simple visualisation on course yesterday and for the first time in years I began flushing irons, fairway woods and my driver. I honestly couldnt believe it. Amazing tip. Thank you so much
All these tips you give have the big picture of keeping your hands and arms out of the swing. I can do that most of the time. You gave me my "missing link" of getting the hip turn started on the downswing right before the arms even start to fall. And this tip refreshes that feeling because, in baseball, just as the pitcher releases the ball, your left leg lifts and your weight starts turning into the pitch. A very cool analogy and very helpful. I'm almost 85 and have a 20 index but shot 79 yesterday from the front tees. This swing thought made it possible. Thanks for all the help!
Great round. Glad you like the comparison. If the ball is in motion we know how to do it. If stationary human nature is telling you to do something you shouldn't be doing.
Glad you liked it. Thanks. Great for baseball players. If we do something one way with the ball coming at us then don't do it with the ball stationary then the ball is the problem. You might want to watch this one too: ruclips.net/video/fuOJxv_22Hk/видео.html
So quit trying to be the hero hitting your best shot all the time. Surely you know by now that doesn't work. The longer you wait the longer it will take you to get this. Once you get older you will literally hit it nowhere if you keep trying to do it with physical strength. One of Paul's best yet....I usually hit it straight so hooks and slices are not my problem but distance is. Guys my age (78) that outdrive me always have the weight shift + the "loose" wrist "snap". It's just an easy way to get the arms turned off because no one would take a bat back all locked up yet in golf the great majority are locked. So what's the difference? In golf the ball is stationary. In baseball it is not. So we already know how to do it we just need to tell ourselves to do it in golf. So I want everyone getting the feeling of the arms at zero in baseball then apply this to their backswing in golf. Now they are in a great position to fire the legs to hit the ball.
I watch your videos with great interest. I’m looking at videos with tips for seniors to lift their lead heel to increase shoulder turn. I’m trying this but tend to to hit more tops and thins. Any suggestions please 😊
You are probably physically lifting the heel causing you to stand up. Seen this a lot when I teach seniors to allow the heel to come up in the backswing. So you are coiling. This coil pulls the heel up. This would occur if you are tight as you try to coil. You are not necessarily lifting it. So think more like that. Test your coil. If you are tight and cannot get to 90 then allow the heel to raise up to 3". If so, you should be able to get closer to a 90 degree shoulder coil. ruclips.net/video/p01V-9euZTs/видео.html
This is more a product of standing completely still over the ball & over thinking. Merely speeding up your routine & swinging within a few seconds after address is key. When you're on the range & it doesn't matter if you hit it well, work only on looking at the target a few times while you keep yourself moving which is the same as "looking at the pitcher pitcher", make your swing without thinking about it. Do your thinking before you even address the ball so you don't have to while you're over it. Just step in, a few waggles & go. Obviously it'll be hard in the beginning but do what Paul recommends often when learning something new. Just hit 1 bucket of balls this way & see if it doesn't make a difference. Just continue to do it every time you go to the range until it becomes natural. As Paul always says, you have to stay loose & standing there thinking is the last thing you should be doing.
For sure you don't want to be standing over it forever. That is the kiss of death for sure. Stay in motion. Yes. Need to be thinking about using your body to hit the ball. Yes. Unfortunately unless you are a little kid that will never happen on its own. You need to tell yourself or make yourself not hit the ball. Human nature is too strong a force. Doing it at the range and getting used to the new no arms and hitting feeling is what you need to do. Did a tip on it here: ruclips.net/video/UjCU2vA3T00/видео.html

Well not sure I've ever heard that one before. Too bad it wasn't the right hand. For this hand you cannot do an interlocking grip it has to be an overlapping grip so you can hold on with what fingers you still are able to. For me, I see the hands as a unit working together. So be sure to follow my neutral grip and mold the hands together. I would then be holding on to start at around 4-5 grip pressure increasing both hands to 8 out of 10 by the time you hit the top. If your right is too weak on the club I think your left will slip. So feel equal pressure in both. I just tried it and it seems to be fine. Thank you for your interest in my products. Distance is up to you and how fast you can turn your hips, loosen your wrists and do the positions I teach. I have all types of students who have my products from plus handicaps to beginners. I teach people to swing like pros. I can do this in 4 positions plus your grip and set up. No one else in the world will say this. And I cannot do the positions better than you. Each position gives you checkpoints and feedback so you know you are doing them 100% right. All you have to do is follow the lessons as I say and do daily practice swings hitting the positions. Watch this girl do my swing. This is her after 1.5 years of playing golf by reading my book and watching my videos. Here she was hitting 7 iron 160 and driver 240. She has now been playing 2.5 years and has broken par numerous times and hits driver 260+ Totally up to you if you want a swing like this:

@@paulwilsongolf Awesome, thank you for the reply. I will give the course a shot.
Shot game please
I don't have a ton of short game tips posted. It's a fine line with what I give away. I have a membership site where people pay for access so it's not really fair to them if I give everything away. Plus, I do a short game tip and no one watches it (crazy).
Here are the short game tips I've done so far:

That looks like it could be very effective...
So far it has been. Let me know how you do.
😮😮
Exactly. That is the expression you will have once you try it. Let me know how you do.
What ball? There is no ball. Thanks for another great tip Paul.
Exactly. Maybe people are listening to me.
I hit cleanup for most of 4 years in college baseball……and I’m still a horrible golfer😂
99% of the time it is people trying to hit the ball with the arms. I guarantee you used your body to hit a baseball. So ... use it for golf.
brilliant 😂😂😂
