The problem is these players are hyped up by the media as outstanding individuals, but in reality they rely heavily on system-based football for their club. Yeah Foden looks unreal for City, but how often is he finishing/assisting excellent Pep moves compared to contributing with his individual skill? Of course the Madrid players at this tournament are looking cold, because their manager is the only real elite gaffer in Europe who encourages individual expression on the pitch
The way Dan closed out the show is why Tego is so necessary lol. Dan stepped in but that role is hard work.

England has no forward runners other than saka Trent can’t pick out flash passes like he does for Liverpool without willing runners and that’s why everyone thinks Trent can’t play midfield but yet he has the best stats of any England midfielder 😐

The things is with Southgate even if you wanted Trent on the pitch you can’t play him at cm and you can’t play him at RB because Kyle walker gives you that pace that’s needed against better wingers. But I have a question if Southgate is going to persist with Trippier at LB since we have no LBs could he not put Trent there to invert whilst still keeping Kyle walker at RB. Then don’t really have a set 10 just have Bellingham and foden as the 2 8s and then rice. Play Gordon on the left and saka on the right. Kane in the middle.😊
