Thanks for this! I am in the midst of painting a dog portrait in acrylic for a nephew. One person in my family can ask for one painting each year. It’s super cool that two of them are into art in general, and my art in particular. Yet it is stressful for me. I’ve been almost compulsively watching you paint fur. It’s been very helpful.
It’s a little confusing because you have more older videos where you focus on hues first, then the details, vs. the more recent way of doing black and white details then glaze in the color. But I’m doing okay so far. She’s a white dog with curly clumpy hair. I’ve only done a black dog before. I didn’t have many filbert brushes before I found your channel. I’m enjoying the change in shape of my strokes.

Going to those darker shades on pencil and paper is terrifying and I normally just don’t shade that dark any tips? I usually ruin my drawing by going past 2B
