Hopefully the next generation will heed Ozzy's words. Still so relevant today.
"Revolution in their minds the children start to march
Against the world in which they have to live
And all the hate that's in their hearts
They're tired of being pushed around
And told just what to do
They'll fight the world until they've won
And love comes flowing through, yeah
Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today
Will the sun rise up tomorrow bringing peace in any way?
Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear?
Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear, yeah
So you children of the world
      Listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in
      Spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive you must be brave
Or you children of today are children of the grave, yeah"

You must not be a musician and tried to write a riff that couldn’t in some way or another been done on a Sabbath album. My point, and I’m sure lost in Vegas point, is that they did this when no one else did and well before anyone else. Which can be frustrating because you can’t escape the feeling “this has been done before”.

When I was young, 13/14 I was all about the hip hop. Snoop (doggy style), Dre (The Chronic), NWA, Bone Thugs, Wu Tang, the list goes on. Then about 14ish I "found" Sabbath and it blew me away. So I totally get where you guys are coming from when you're talking about similar feeling of the music. From then on I was totally hooked and Sabbath lead the way for my tastes that followed. Metallica, Alice in Chains, Tool, Nirvana etc.. but I still hold a very soft spot for hip hop. Wu Tangs 36 Chambers will always be one of my favourite album's!. Love you guys, keep rocking 🤘❤️

I love how, over time, you two have listened to enough metal music to be able to form opinion based on knowledge that you have gained from listening to, and learning about various types of metal. That being said, you two need to stop thinking that we, as metal heads, think your opinions have less validity than any of us life long metal heads. It seems at time as if you are only one step removed from apologizing for your opinions. Most of us are here because we liked to hear an outside view of the music we grew up with. Now we are here to listen to the valid opinions of fellow knowledgeable metal fans. You have more than earned the right to your opinions regaurdless if other metal heads agree with you. Something about the jazzy breakdown at the end: I'd say that was Tony Iommi's tribute to one of his guitar heroes, Django Reinhardt. Django was a Belgian jazz guitarist from the 1930s. He is known as the originator of "gypsy jazz."
It was hearing Django that influenced Tony to pick up the guitar again after the accident that severed Tony's fingers. Django also only had two fingers to play with (due to a burn injury).

They did an amazing final concert though, Ozzy's voice isn't completely there, and they had a different drummer that was more traditional heavy metal sounding and more straightforward than Bill Wards drumming. But the meat, Tony Iommis riffs and Geezer Butler's bass lines were better than ever. I'm sad I never got to see Sabbath live and never will 😢

I had the privilege of seeing the original lineup play at Jones Beach back in '04. My GF got sick halfway through and demanded to be driven home..... during NIB. I was disappointed, but figured I'd see them again, some day. Black Sabbath never did Ozzfest, again and by 2013, I was having a bad year, work wise, so I never got the chance.

@@peace__777 Saw 'em just before that when they played Ozzfest around 2000. So good. And they played Symptom (sans the part Ryan wants to loop, which they generally didn't play live).

Tyrone Mackay I saw them on the 13 tour and twice on The End tour, and it was the drumming that really stood out, it just lacked Bill Ward’s swing, didn’t have the same groove.

According to Iommi, the Sabotage sessions were the scene of a legendary jam session between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.[4] Iommi's recollection may be inaccurate, however, as records show that Zeppelin were on tour in the US at the time Sabotage was being recorded. Ward's recollection of the exact timing of the Zeppelin jam session is also fuzzy. "I don't even know what album we were working on", the drummer explained. "But one of John (Bonham)'s favourite songs was 'Supernaut' - so, when they came down to the studio, he wanted to jam 'Supernaut'."[5]

@@ONESHOTZz TRUE, Master of Reality is simply UNTOUCHABLE. I know not everyone agrees and I understand (Sabbath's first 6 albums are simply INSANE, so good that you spend a lifetime deciding which one is the best), but for me it's the best, top 3 along with Paranoid and Vol 4, and without a doubt my favorite. Ahead of time, no bad track FROM START TO END. Black Sabbath are the greatest.
