- This is a little recorded demo I did of the first pedal from Dr.Z , a collaboration with EARTHQUAKER DEVICES.
This pedal loves the Z WRECK!
I never really bothered adjusting all the controls but believe me you can tweak this pedal for any amp and dial it it just perfectly!
There are a lot of demos out there already that explain what the pedal does.. check em out.
I pretty much leave the setting as illustrated in the video...
I love how you can switch from germanium( green) & mosfet (red) tones...
The amp was attenuated with a Z air brake, see setting in the video, bedroom setting.

Yes bro! Just got a z drive for my maz 18 and remedy. People always ask why people demo the Z drive on a Z amp, well the answer is because it’s a Z 2 channel preamp. It was meant to turn DR Z’s single channel amps into 3 channel amps. It’s not meant to make a fender sound like a Z amp. It’s meant to basically add channels to Z amps. And you showed that well here. I love my Z drive!

Hey Jason - If you had to pick...Z-Drive or Blue Note + Archer combo? Looking for something to pair with an Earthquaker Palisades TS style drive and a Wampler Black 65 (clean eq mostly). Blues style playing.
Matt Kelland I think in that set up I’d go for the Blue note... I use it quite frequently to push my amp a little harder. Awesome pedal...

Yea, I play my teles and Strats through 3 old blackface amp now. 👍
