- Freediving and snorkelling in the calm blue waters of Easdale.
Scotland's Slate Islands are home to some fascinating history from the mining industry, but today they are a beautiful chilled out place to dive and swim and relax.
We dived in this quarry recently. It’s perfect for Freediving. Calm water, great viz, great depth and the granite walls are just spectacular. This really should be Scotland’s freediving Mecca. ✊🏼👍🏻
It is really cool. I try and get there once a year.
Yip big ells, used to fish for them as a kid in I of the quarries at Bavicar on Seil when we were on holiday almost 50 years ago although I was just catching the small ones.
Loved how the sea was so calm too
Its a special ambiance in there. Many people find it creepy because its so calm and deep
What a great day for diving Tom!..
When are you allowed to play? Has it been 10days? We have offshore winds and lunchtime low tides the next few days 🙂
Wow, wouldn’t think that water was Scotland ha! Love the history behind that 👍🏼
Next time I'm tempted to bring a fishing rod, 5/0 hook with a whole mackerel as bait and try and get one of the mythical giant congers!
@@tjashton that would be an awesome catch!!
