The Porsche 996 will always have a special place in my heart, especially those fried egg headlights, and how compact/slim/streamline the overall look (compared to the 964 or the 997's wide rear). Kudos to you and your family for keeping your 996 running in the family!
The 996 generation of Porsche is something that will stick by me forever, mostly because of my troubled childhood. I grew up with NFS Porsche Unleashed and it shaped my love for Porsche and this generation as a whole even if people aren't a fan of the design style. It's the game and the car that made me what I am today, still a proud fan of Porsche. Good video btw, thanks for the recommendation!
Really good video, I have had a 996 4S for 14 years it’s permanent in my garage despite owning 6 other Porsche’s in that period, it get used weekly along with my Lotus Evora 400
I hope this video gets more views. It definitely had a lot of research put into it, a lot of planning and dedication to the topic. Thank you for this early Christmas gift, Azran.
As derided as it was (hello IMS bearings), the 996 did pave the way for the 997 and the 991/992, the latter of which is one of the absolute most finely balanced sports cars around. So I have to give it my thanks.
The 996's day is coming, the always talk about the purists disdain, but when you ti the real experts they know what us fans have always known, it's simply a great car, not just an inexpensive 911, it's a great car in its own right. Great video, good luck with the channel
Nailed it!!! The so called "purists" may turn their noses up but every true expert I've ever heard describes the car have nothing but positive comments about the car...

Incredible, son. Well worth the wait for this one.
That sound is incredible. Also props on getting an engine to showcase 18:48. Is that an actual 911 engine?
A video about Porsche was truly unexpected. But it is very welcome. Loved it.
