    re: mental health - Yes, and also BigHit provides their artists with mental health professional care. I think their CEO Mr. Bang's motivation to create music with a mission to heal also created a company culture to facilitate that healing. He has the whole group talk out their disagreements, even if it's just a problem between 2 members. So they're like a family.

    So you pronounce his name Jimin like the English name Jim added with in. Jim-in. Once you Jimin you can’t Jim-out is a tease between ARMY. All Korean groups are trainees 2-3 years before they debut. They spend every day dancing, singing and practice to be able to sing and dance without running out of air. It’s super intense. They were together since 2010 - 2012 but didn’t debut until 2013 💜💜💜Thank you for all of these reactions!!

    The K-Pop Championships is where K-Idols enter into a sports competition, in their respective idol groups.
    The archery that you saw is one of the games that they competed in.
    They've participated in the relay, sprints, high jump, wrestling, basketball & even chicken fighting.. 😂
    However, BTS no longer participates in the games.. & that is a long story for another time.

    K-pop idols undergo rigid years of training to master their certain positions assigned to them i.e. rap, dance, vocals, etc., and it's not a guarantee they will debut.
    A debut is basically when a group of trainees of a certain company (or of a survival show) release their first official track! This track will often be accompanied by a showcase, as well as appearances on music show broadcasts! Groups that have recently debuted are called “rookies”.
    Some of them don't although they train for a long time. If am not mistaken, the longest training period is from 8 to ten years. Jimin debuted with the shortest training period, less than a year (around 6months) that's why he worried how to keep up with the other members, eventually he did, they all do due to their amazing teamwork, being supportive to each other with great staff including a company who treats everyone like a family...not to mention their innate talent, dedication and passion plus great personalities. : )

    • @sophiam.krager3815
      @sophiam.krager3815 4 года назад +8

      * In BTS the training period ranges from 1-3 years, but there are other Idols that have trained for 8 years or more. Trainees can differ in age. You can audition and become a trainee or be scouted when you are 21 or even as young as 10 years. Some campanies have regular auditions and others only do audition with the mindset of creating a new group. every company has a different way to train their trainees. But most company´s have this thing of montly or yealy evaluation where they have to show of how far they´ve come in their training. If you´re not good enough they will trow you out or won´t let you debut. Training includes singing, dancing, rapping but also things like language if the trainee is not fully or not at all korean

    • @livinginstereo
      @livinginstereo 4 года назад +4

      The longest trainee was g-dragon (11 years) but thats because he changed companies and had to start training over. But i think its around 2-5 years average.

    Jimin is the sweetest softest soul with the most beautiful heart of gold because even if it's something small, his sincerity and passion pours out, he is the most gentle person and he cares a lot, he is sensitive aswell so there were and still is a lot of people that wish to harm them and throw bad words at them and in the past he really took it to heart and he had this mentality that he just wanted to keep looking better and doing better so he would eat only once every 2 days or so, he wa so hard on himself that even the smallest mistake that no one noticed would make him cry because he thought he was letting us down but thankfully at the end of 2017 he said he had come to realize that that wasn't healthy and his doing so much better from then on even his mental state has improved(also that they Bighit has their own therapist now so they can look after their mental health) and he deals with things a whole lot better than he used to and he isn't as hard on himself and he loves eating now and he loves getting compliments but gets shy right after.
    He loves to listen to the members when they want someone to talk to, he cares so much and we even call him an angel or a fairy because he is so down to earth and he works really really hard as you have seen in the video. Him having his own aura is true, e has a unique aura that just attracts you to him, sometimes he's sexy and sometimes he is extremely adorable, he can even be both at the same time.

  • @younicekeepgoing9373

    Trainee explanation: Basically Kpop idols have to audition for a company and if they get accepted, they train there for however long until they are ready to debut (It is the period in which a Trainee/Group releases a public song and promotes it for the first time). Some trainees may take few months, some take few years and some take more than 10 years to be put into a group until they are fully ready. This whole process is very exhausting for trainees because they don't know when they'll be able to make it. For BTS, even after they debuted, they went through a hard time. Korean music industry didn't like/respect them because they were from a small company. BTS was often cut out of broadcasts and were constantly told they weren't ever going to make it. The kpop industry had the "BIG 3" companies which were SM entertainment, YG entertainment and JYP entertainment. Basically groups that were in these companies were more popular in korea and these companies had a lot of money. BTS worked their way up from scratch and weren't privileged like the groups in big 3 companies. They all slept in one bedroom and used the belongings of their staff as props in their music videos because they couldn't hire professionals, they simply didn't have money. They were bullied a lot by Koreans and Korea's entertainment/music industry, except armys. No one believed in them, it was just bts and armys who believed in each other. This is why, they constantly thank us armys for believing in them and supporting them. And we thank them for their hard work and perseverance. So now, due to bts's success, BIGHIT (bts's company) took over the "BIG 3" companies.

    They have been coming together with the boss of their company since they joined the company to talk through their feelings and resolve conflicts together, to keep each other grounded and grow up as they should. His name is Bang Sihyuk, basically their dad who they still tend to turn to when they feel the need to talk or get advice. I love the dynamics between Big Hit and their artists. It is very much appreciated. 💜

    Jimin is cute, sweet, affectionate, shy, and just in general adorable off stage. Dancing on-stage, he's basically a sexy, charismatic beast that hardly anyone, male or female, can resist. He has a sensuality about him when he dances that just draws people in when he's dancing to a slow song and a strength and power that is awe inspiring when he's dancing to a fast paced song. That's what the others were talking about. Also, their company makes sure that their mental health is taken care of. They even have a mental health professional go on tour with them. They've learned each other's natures inside and out and all of them make a concerted effort to take care of each other. At one point, Jimin had self-esteem issues that drove him to eat only one meal in 10 days. He eventually passed out right after walking off stage and now the others make sure that he eats well and takes proper care of himself. Each of them has things that they struggle with and the others always step up and help them deal with it. They are closer than a lot of blood brothers.

    Jimin likes to read and he's super intelligent also has mad Math & Science skills. The other thing I want you to know about Jimin is that he has a black belt in taekwondo & kumdo/kendo. Jimin also won a martial arts scholarship to China. Watched the boys recently talk on an interview. The question to them was: Who in the group would you want your sister to marry? All but one said JIMIN. Jimin is a guy who is a thoughtful. V read a letter to ARMY that he wrote to Jimin letting ARMY know, he feels Jimin is his best friend and that Jimin has kept all his secrets and proved himself many times as a friend.

      I thought they got banned because they uploaded photos of the event and talked online about it before it was shown on TV or sth in 2017.
      Wasn't it mandatory for them to go to ISAC? I think this was the only way they could get out of that and go on tour instead

    • @QueenOfBrokenStone
      @QueenOfBrokenStone 4 года назад +5

      @@luziealyssa5677 Them being banned was a joke that somehow got out of hand, when some people took it as truth and started spreading it further.
      From what I've heard MBC tends to pressure idols into attending, otherwise they might not be allowed to appear on their other programs, but BTS got big enough that they don't have to worry about that anymore.
      While ISAC is fun to watch, there goes a lot of practice into it beforehand and on the day of filming itself, it's just a lot of sitting around doing nothing, so it would make sense they rather skip that...^^'

He won't mind showing his true feelings, if he feels grumpy u will see it, if he feels like crying he will, he doesnt care much about social standards or what "men" should wear, do, or say. He always chooses his words carefully in a really tender way, and he is really polite. He has this warm way of talking to us that makes us very happy, he is the one that is always doing streamings on the VLIVE app everytime he misses us. Another aspect I would like to add about training to debut as an artist in Korea. I think it's quite difficult to understand from a western perspective, so I would like to compare it to studying at a music academy, a ballet academy or training to become an athlete in the west. In Germany, for example, the big soccer clubs have academies where teenagers train and study, often also live on campus. Obviously, not everybody who attends such a training facility will eventually play in that club's regular team. I think this approach helps to understand the Korean model a bit better.

    Prior to their debut as an official group, they are called "trainees" because they'll train in different aspects of becoming an idol. They'll practice & train in their singing (ie. Vocal chord training etc.) dancing, rapping, etiquettes, etc. Basically they'll train/practice in these different areas in order to hone and perfect their skills prior to becoming an official idol group...hence before debuting as an official group: BTS. The training period could take several months to several years and different for every member since they didn't join at the same time. Since Jimin is the last member to join BTS, his training period was the shortest and because he's so good in what he does..he's a perfectionist. So BTS debuted in 2013, but they've been training since 2009-2010 when the group was formed/being put together. So yea, even though this year marks their 7th year together as a group...hence the significance of their current album title: "Map of the Soul 7" (7 years since debut, 7 members)...BTS have been working together for over a decade. Their bond/brotherhood is extremely close. Plus, that similar bond and energy is what they share with ARMYs too...we've been walking together since the beginning so you'll kinda understand the love & support we have for these 7 amazingly talented dorks!! We've seen them grow and evolve into something so much more than the art and music they've blessed us with!! 😭💜 #ARMYsince2014

    Also they live together which is not something expected because usually when groups blow up they buy their own houses and they separate, but BTS lived since the day one together, shared all of their problems and struggles together, went in school together and all of that brought them close. The oldest member Jin always insisted on them to talk and open up and never hide things from each other and because of RM the leader their teamwork and friendship is unbelievable. They geniuenly love each other like a brothers and they consider themselves a family. Most of the members bought their own apartments, but they also bought one big house in which they still live together.

    Where you say "This archery theme they've got, I've seen two videos where I've seen them do archery. What's that about?" That's for the "Idol Star Athletics Championship" (ISAC) which is a South Korean television program (you can find them on You Tube) which aired for the first time in 2010. The program features celebrities, most notably Korean pop idols singers and [male and female] groups, which compete in multi-sport events. So as well as being talented musically and dancing etc, many of members of these groups are gifted athletes - Jungkook is an amazing sportsman!

    In his school years (before he become part of Bighit) Jimin used to practice hiphop and was part of 'just dance' academy, he used to particiapte and win many street dance competions. He was also trained in martial arts, taekewondo. He was also a brilliant student and a valedictorian. Jimin became part of Busan arts high school as contemporary major (top of his class, not common for art major), he was part of that school for almost a year before auditioning for Bighit and became a trainee. He was so talented and hardworking that he debuted (with less than year training) with BTS (in 2013) as lead vocalist and Main dancer and rest is history. The reason he wasnt sure whether he will debut with BTS or not coz was being put under pressure by company staff during training period, claiming that he 'isnt a good enough dancer'. They even threatened to fire him several times, Although several other members werent even trained dancer, meanwhile Jimin was the only member trained in both hiphop & contemporary and martial arts.So, to this day, Jimin fans never get the logic why the company put so much negative pressure on him during training period when he was already an appreciated trained dancer. From debut till this day Jimin has been responsible for hardest dance moves and vocals in BTS' songs, and he always delivered 100% even when he was in pain. All of them are talented, but Jimin is the heart of BTS; if you know what I mean.

    A trainee is someone who is working towards becoming an idol , corporation groups will make auditions and then form a group, they will become trainees and if the manager thinks they’ve done well then they will be able to _debut_ as a group , most groups are trainees for 1-2 1/2 year before becoming a real group. And once they debuted they will have a small fan base or bigger depending on there entertainment group, and they will be rookies , not yet idols but still fresh to this k-pop thing

    To be able to debut you have to audition in company. When you do that, they decide if you're good enough to train there (like in every show).
    Usually, they don't accept just 7 people, but hundreds. And everyone needs to learn how to dance and be really good in what they do (rapping, singing).
    I don't know if it's the same in every company, but there's like these evaluations to show how much you've improved that are made every month, if you do well, you keep training in the company. When the company thinks you're not good enough to be an idol, they kick you off.
    There are some trainees that train for years, but they never get to debut. That's why they're so scared, because they never know if they're going to be in a group or not.
    sorry if i made mistakes, i still struggle a lot with english.

    Trainee is what people are called after they win auditions and get to train with one company or another to become one of their artists. Winning an audition only gives you the privilege to train with a company after approximately 2 to 7 yrs (most of BTS trained for 2 yrs, except Jimin he trained for 6 mo) then you audition again if you win this audition. Most companies train individuals in dancing, singing or rapping, comportment as in how to do interviews ie: sit, stand, bow, take questions, answer questions, do aegyo (act cute), play games, dance to opposite sex dances, sing English covers. Languages such as Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese are taught because not all trainees are born in Korea, many are not. In fact many companies have auditions internationally. So many companies have trainees from Korea, US, Canada, UK, Taiwan, Philippines, China, Japan, Australia. Now after they train they audition again this time to become a member of a group then if they get in they sign you to a contract for 7 yrs or more these contract are often considered slave contracts for very little money and very little free time. After that contract ends midway thru your career then you have to sign a second contract and get more favorable terms. BTS had a very good contract and they have signed again with the same company for another 7 yrs.
    What you are seeing down his eye is probably purple but it is dark in any case so could be blue, I am a colorist by trade and it looks purple to me.
    It so easy to be this kind of fans as army because they actually encourage such behavior thru their acts of love and kindness towards fans and with their giving of their time and money to charities.

    i saw that several people already answered the archery question, so I'll just give you a general rundown of where the content that you see comes from. you will see them doing tons of activities if you watch these kinds of videos (introductions or just fun videos of them goofing around). that's because they do various reality shows (that's the reason that we know so much about them).
    them doing competetive activities or games usually comes from their variety show "bts run" of which an episode is released each week. there have been other shows but the other ones that are still going on are the tour documentaries, bangtan bombs and bon voyage.
    bon voyage is a show in which they travel the world. they did northern europe in the first one, hawaii in the second, malta in the third and new zealand in the fourth. i'm sure they'll do a fifth season this year.
    and then there's the tour documentaries. since the wings tour in 2017 they've been documenting their world tours. the first one was "burn the stage" (wings tour), the second one was "bring the soul" (love yourself tour) and the next one will be "break the silence" (presumably about the speak yourself leg of the love yourself tour). they're very raw and honest on these documentaries. their content is usually pretty filtered as is the norm for k-pop content, but burn the stage and bring the soul show what their life on tour is really like, the good and the dark moments. that's where that clip of jimin crying backstage is from for example.
    the content that is most frequently put out are the bangtan bombs. they're behind the scenes videos from all kinds of activities that they do, like performances, interviews, photo shoots, music video shoots. they're released on the bangtantv channel on youtube.
    the fourth source that we get content from is direct communication. the boys post stuff on twitter or weverse (the fan app), talking and responding to fans as well. and they often do livestreams in which either one or multiple members just sit and chat with the fans for a while, talking about their day to day life or answering questions.
    okay, i think that's it. i thought it'd be good to know.
    you're doing so great keeping up with the information that you get, good job, keep going :)

    So in South Korea there're these entertainment companies, usually their role is to train young people to become idols. The people who want to become idols have to do an audition and try to portray their talent, wether that is dancing, singing... if they get in, they have to go through a training period, during which they are taught to dance, sing, perform, all in all they are taught how to become and be an idol. There are many many trainees in each company and the managers and the CEO get to know each one of them so as to put them together, to later on become a group. That group then has a debut, which means they go public, they become an official group, making music, etc.
    This happened to BTS, and what Jimin was worried about was his debut. Usually trainees train for years (and when I say years, I don't mean 1 or 2, more like 4 or more). Jimin had only been training for a year when BTS debuted so, compared to the others, he had much less training, thus why he was worried about his skills and talent.
    (Also, thank you for your reactions, I like them so much! you are so honest while watching them and giving your honest opinions! Welcome to the Army fandom :) )

    The group thing happens often and I think it's great as well they don't just build each other up but also work out any problems they are having with each other. When you think about 7 guys living in each other's pockets, we have seen a few fights, (not fights by my kid's standers) but they don't let that shit build-up but deal with it.
    There is something so pure, young, and innocent about him that the woman in me likes the way he looks and moves, but the mom in me wants to give him a hug and feed him cookies. Now that can be hard to wrap my brain around, but there is just something about that boy. Men, women, young, old, he gets a response out of everyone and I do think it is something he was born with. Now saying all that I do think he uses it to to get in a little trouble sometimes nothing big just getting away with things because he is so sweet and cute.
    They are all hard on themselves something you see a lot in artist but I think for them it's even worse than over here. The culture of everything you do reflects on your parents is different, I don't mind if my kids fail at things I expect them to its part of learning. In Korea it is different, to fail is to bring dishonor, and I mean dishonor to the point of death Your mom not leaving the house because she can't face people. Over here if your parents don't or won't support you, it's harder and it hurts but you go and do it anyway because this is your life.

    before kpop idols debut, meaning they officially are in a group and get to release music and perform, they always have to go through a training period first, that’s when they’re trainees. they are trained in dancing and singing or rapping (depending on what their specialty is), and sometimes language because some kpop idols aren’t Korean, they come from Japan or China or Thailand, so they are trained in the Korean language as well. some of them even train for up to 5-10 years, but even after all that, it’s still not guaranteed that every trainee will debut.
    the training period is known for being ruthless and unforgiving. trainees have to wake up extremely early in the morning, train and dance all day while also still balancing their school life, and they continue practicing into the night and only get a few hours of sleep, sometimes no sleep. they’re also sometimes pressured (depending on the company) to diet and achieve a certain weight. weight and body image is unfortunately a big deal in the kpop industry, as well as looks. trainees are put under a lot of pressure and i can’t even imagine how stressed and tired they are, all because they want to reach their dreams.
