I subscribed to XM 15 years ago, it was great. Then when Sirius took over they cancelled most of my favorite shows and the new combination steadily declined. Now it's an inch above crappola.
I canceled my Sirius XM subscription after they dropped the Sonic Sound Salutes with Terry Motormouth Young; I provided the sounds for one of the very last of those, which featured WFUN, Miami. I agree with those who feel that the Sirius merger has ruined XM, in particular the 60's on 6.
Ay yo, any of y'all remember (or better yet, can point me towards) the XM Radio call chimes or tones or whatever the proper terminology is? Those seven falling and rising notes they would play at the end of platform announcements and whatnot? I've got it stuck in my head, but I need to find it and hear if I'm being accurate!
60's on 6 from the time I got XM in 2004-2009 was my primary preset on ALL my XM radios from the SkyFi, to the MyFi, and the final radio I purchased before I canned XM in 2009 the Pioneer Inno. The houry Beatles Bell, the Sweet 16 survey, The Super Sonic Sulute to the classic radio stations, here and there, Wax Your Woodie, IT, and Sunday Soundscape. 2004-2009 was the golden years of XM. Now it's Cousin Brucie all the time, he was cool in the beginning, can't stand him now.
I love PAMS jingles, especially these ones!
0:16 The beatles
Wow i remember these.....the station was awesome before the merger. These retro jingles were perfect.
I always play it in the summer time
the playlist has returned to the pre-sirius day, the jingles however are still lost.
2:29 - The Who’s “Sold Out” album brought me here.
I'd like to see someone upload many of the jingles and drop-ins for Sirius XM 70s on 7 and 80s on 8, including current ones.

What a great flashback..... ever since SiriusXM fired opie and Anthony ... what’s the point.. I did hear that 60’s on 6 is fun to listen to again..
I still like it but loved XM before the merger. They did lots of fun stuff!
seriusxm is good

2:51 Sonny and Cher
1:29 I think I heard this on Sirius on Tuesday (8/31/21).
Other XM stations used PAMS remakes, such as XMU and XM Unsigned.
Totally agree, the merger wrecked this station's mojo.......

Check out this video. I believe they're playing the little jingle you're talking about. ruclips.net/video/S8DrzR-puAM/видео.html
2:25 The rolling stones
Yep. Sirius did ruin the 60's channel, that is for sure
aujourd'hui il n'y a plu de jingles ni de radio 5% de musique 95%pub et des animateurs qui n'ont pas la pêche merci

It was great in 2005 when i first subbed. Its still decent now. The survey (top 40 this month in 196_). Too much Brucie though.
Can you post the drop-ins from the years, 19 65, 1966, and 1967?
At the jingle ending at 1:22, how did they make that "fun" noise?
It's called "Reiteration".
Pelican1984 that's not what I meant. I meant the effect that happens at the end of that jingle. It sounds like some form of tremolo.
OK, It's tremolo. :)
Vibrating tremelo, which was used on PAMS Series 33, "Fun Vibrations."
I think you missed one. There was one that went "The music capital of the USA… FUN!"
Gerard Landry If you listen to part 2 @ 2:00 I believe that is the jingle you are referring to.
sm01845 thank you. I found it.
sounds like PAMS out of Dallas
Stanley Adams It is, and they’re all re-sung.
You have a similar bunch from 70s on 7?
Or '90 on 9?
How exactly did sirious ruin this station?
now 50s Gold 60s Gold moved from 5 and 6 to the 70s channels... booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
And let's not forget the repetitive playlist on that channel, yeah got tired of it after awhile.
